V. Yakovlev “I wanted and I could!”

After 50, life does not end, and you can skydive even at 75. Evidence and inspiration in the new project of Vladimir Yakovlev.

“I wanted and I could!” – a new stage of Vladimir Yakovlev’s project “The Age of Happiness”. It includes stories and portraits of 31 women. Seven of them have already been published in the first book (actually “The Age of Happiness”), 24 are published for the first time. And it is very difficult to say something about this book, because any words will be unimaginably banal. Yes, life does not end after 50. Yes, and at 75 you can skydive, run a marathon, be a super trendy DJ and have sex, after all. But all this is too speculative. And not speculative – when goosebumps from piercing delight before the miracle of life and the greatness of man … Well, now it’s not only banal, but also pathetic. But it is with these feelings that the book “Wanted and Could!” leaves any reader. And although Vladimir Yakovlev managed to come up with both Kommersant and Snob, perhaps it is the Age of Happiness that should be recognized as his best project.
