The US Department of Defense is seriously considering the prospect of upgrading its soldiers and creating the most powerful army in the world by the middle of the 21st century.
At the end of November, the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command prepared a report that looked more like a dystopian novel. In it, the department considered what opportunities there are to improve the combat training of soldiers. Command experts have identified four areas in which the Department of Defense needs to work in order to make American soldiers invincible by 2050 with the help of technology.
Nevertheless, even the Pentagon doubts whether the creation of cyber-warriors will go beyond ethics. When a soldier becomes a robot, should military law still consider him a human or a piece of equipment?
