Why is it worth being active despite urinary incontinence?

Urinary incontinence in the initial stage is primarily associated with effort. Letting go happens when carrying heavy things, making dynamic movements, sneezing or coughing. When such ailments arise, many people give up the effort to prevent urine leakage. In practice, this is the worst possible solution. Lack of exercise can aggravate the problem of urinary incontinence. In turn, properly selected exercises will make the ailment less bothersome.

Urinary incontinence activities

When an ailment occurs, in addition to drug treatment, you should start exercising the muscles that are directly related to urinary incontinence. It goes, among others for Kegel muscles that weaken and flabby with age. Regular pelvic floor muscle training can reduce or completely eliminate urinary incontinence if the problem is mild.

There are also special accessories on the market for training the pelvic floor muscles – these are silicone balls or cones that are placed in the vagina for 15-30 minutes each day. The exercise is to keep the object inside while you are doing daily activities such as cooking dinner.

Kegel exercises are helpful for people who have less urinary incontinence. Bladder training is helpful for patients with advanced symptoms. It consists in deliberately postponing the moment of urinating. Such exercises take effect after about six weeks. It is very important to urinate approximately every three hours to prevent your bladder from filling up.

What can you do if you have a problem with urinary incontinence?

This ailment should not make us give up the things we have enjoyed so far. We can still walk, go on excursions, meet friends, go to the movies and even exercise. Only activities that involve lifting and dynamic jumping are not recommended, because during this type of exercise, uncontrolled letting may occur. However, regular, calm and moderately intense activity is absolutely recommended, and urinary incontinence should not limit us in this.

Even in the case of people whose problem persists despite exercise and drug treatment, activity is still not out of the question. People with urinary incontinence often give up social life, traveling or even leaving home because they are ashamed of their ailments. They are also afraid that they will not make it to the toilet on time or that they will not be able to find it in new places and that they will experience an uncomfortable situation. Just because someone suffers from urinary incontinence does not mean that they should not enjoy life. In this situation, absorbent products come to the rescue. When the ailment is not too severe, and therefore it happens that you release a few drops of urine while sneezing or lifting a heavier object, it is enough to use a urological insert in the version for women or men, which protects the underwear from getting wet. Some urological pads are individually packed, so it is easy to put several pieces into a purse or hand luggage.

In the case of a stronger problem or greater activity, absorbent panties, such as, for example, Seni Active, are a much better solution. This product is put on instead of underwear and is just as comfortable to wear. Its task is not only to absorb moisture and stop urine from escaping outside, but also to protect against the release of undesirable odors. Absorbent panties allow you to comfortably practice physical exercises, rehabilitation or longer trips without discomfort. This product also works well for people suffering from Alzheimer’s, who sometimes forget about their physiological needs. This solution, in tandem with bladder training, increases the patient’s comfort and confidence, allowing them to function freely and lead an active lifestyle, despite the problem of urinary incontinence.

Urinary incontinence does not have to mean giving up your activity and lifestyle. The key is both the right choice of exercises that will increase the chances of reducing ailments, and above all – the right absorbent products that will provide comfort and protection, and at the same time will not restrict or restrict us.
