The weight of Olesya Propadimova from Yekaterinburg at the beginning of the project was 143 kilograms. She left the show on STS after 3 months, dropping 35 kilos, but continued to lose weight. Now the scales show 98 kg, but the girl is not going to stop. How to eat right and what she regretted while participating in “Weighted People”, Olesya told Woman`s Day.
– I left the project a month before the final. At that time, my weight was 108 kilograms – that is, I threw off 35 kg. But, saying goodbye, I promised the coach that at the final weigh-in I would weigh less than 100. With enthusiasm I came home and began to lose weight. And everything worked out: a month later I threw off another 11 kilograms, as a result, now the scales show 98.
Now my task is to maintain weight and lose weight, especially since there is where … But at the end of the program, our daily calorie intake was too low – 600-700 kcal per day, on a holiday – 900. You can’t eat like that for a long time, so now my norm is 1 500 calories. We were taught that if you ate something high in calories, it’s okay, it just needs to be worked out on a treadmill. During the project, we kept a food diary: how much, what time and what we ate. The first time after the show, I ate by analogy with him, but now from time to time I can afford something tasty.
When “Weighted People” just started, I realized with horror that we are constantly being given cottage cheese. I hated him! I went to the nutritionist and begged to let me not eat it. She said: “You will have to love him, my girl!” Indeed, after a month and a half I did not understand how I used to live without him. Now I often have breakfast with them, add fruits or berries there, sprinkle with cinnamon on top – delicious!
Now, a month later, the girl has become even slimmer.

Before, I didn’t eat porridge either. And now a couple of times a week for breakfast I have oatmeal with fruit – also incredibly tasty. Such healthy but tasty dishes replace pastries and cakes for me.
I continue to go to the gym, but, of course, not in the same way as at the “Weighted People” – there we trained for 8 hours a day! Now I have four workouts a week from an hour to two: cardio and swimming, yoga, crossfit.
During this month after the project, I never wanted to break loose and give up everything: I promised to lose weight both to my coach Denis Semenikhin and to myself. Therefore, every day I wrote to him, he told me what records the guys were setting, and I tried to break them at home. He also commented on my exercises and nutrition, gave advice. This excitement helped to fulfill the promise!

– Now, when I remember the project, it seems to me that it was like a pioneer camp. Psychologists immediately told us: the sooner we leave, the easier it will be to adapt to real life. And so it is. When I dropped out, at first it was difficult for me to realize that I needed to go to work again, earn money, cook healthy meals and make time for the gym. At the “Weighted People” we were constantly engaged, there was no need to rack your brains and plan your day. You will definitely be in time for everything, because there are no other worries. We didn’t even have a TV or radio, let alone telephones and the Internet. It was not allowed to go “free”, as we called life outside our fence.
I want to say right away: everything that was shown on the project is true! We didn’t have hidden cameras. We woke up every day at 8 in the morning, then the make-up artist gathered us, then the sound engineers installed the microphone and the shooting began.

We had two coaches – Denis Semenikhin and Irina Turchinskaya. I studied under the guidance of Denis, towards the end of the project – with Irina. There were three to four workouts a week, two to three hours each. But after that there was homework. For example, 20 kilometers on a treadmill and another 20 on rowing. You could fulfill the standards at a time, but you can – little by little during the day. Nobody checked if we did everything in full, but we were honest! After all, tomorrow the coach will ask you, looking into your eyes: “Olesya, did you do what I said?” It was impossible to lie, so we practiced even beyond the plan. This was not shown on the air, but even at 3 am or 5 am you could meet someone in one of the halls (strength or cardio). Before weighing in, we almost never left there.
We had tests every week. On weekends, a nutritionist came to us, who gave lectures on proper nutrition and gave recommendations to those who did not have the best tests. We were forced to drink – the more, the better. It seems that sometimes we drank four liters. But there was no coffee – it was replaced with chicory. And even now, after the show, I can count on my fingers how many times I drank it. I prefer green tea. The nutritionist also explained that it is wrong to remove fats from the diet if you want to lose weight. And you can’t go hungry all the more! We ate four times a day: breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner. The girls’ portions were 50 g less.

– This year we had a doubles season. For the first four weeks, the couple who threw off the least of all fell under the “yellow line” – their fate was decided by the project participants. Thank God, my partner, my friend Ivan, and I have never been there. But Vanya left in the eighth week. It was hard for me, I cried for a week and complained about fate. But later I realized that he left at the right moment. When Vanya was in the project, I could shift some of the responsibility to him. I even wrote to him later: “Sorry to say so, but your departure helped me a lot.”
At the second stage, when the participants were divided into teams, the “yellow line” was gone. It’s just that the team of those who threw off the most, chose who went home. At the third stage, when every man for himself, the notorious “yellow line” reappeared. That’s when I got hit by it three times. The first time it happened was in the ninth week. Then the majority of the participants voted against me, but Denis Panov left of his own free will, he was very homesick.
The second time I stood at the “yellow line” after only a week! Again I threw off the least of all. The fact is that there was a competition that week: you had to pull a box out of a vending machine at random. If there is food in it, you eat it, and so on until you draw out the name of the coach, under whose leadership you will continue to work. I went first and ate the most! I stood there for over an hour. In the end, I was already freaking out and crying, and I all came across either mashed potatoes with bacon, then cheesecake, then a McDonald’s pie, then fried chicken wings … In a word, all the junk food fell out! And then I drew out the name of the coach Irina Turchinskaya, and I got used to Denis … Therefore, that competition was the most difficult for me. Of course, later in the hall I worked those 2 kcal that I ate at the competition, but in vain. When weighing in, I had an extra 600 grams.
For the third time, being at the “yellow line”, I dropped out of the project. Then everyone was shocked: “How so? Why did she throw off a little, because she worked a thousand times more than usual? ” Even the coach was perplexed. But sometimes the body fails. Especially the female body.
About coaches and friendship between participants

– Denis is very loyal, unemotional, calm, firm, sets a clear task and distributes the load gradually. On the treadmill, he always encouraged me: “Come on, Olesechka, my dear.” And Irina is different – very emotional. I got used to Denis’s endurance, and at first it was hard for me not to respond to Irina’s urges. But understanding her character, I knew that if I said something in response, it would rush … Even the producers asked me how I was holding on. But I understood that they wanted not to offend me, but to stimulate me. And I am grateful to Irina for what she proved – I can be better. So we ended up becoming friends.
In general, we had a very friendly season. After the completion of the project, chats appeared in social networks, where we find out how someone is doing, who has lost how much weight … We are planning meetings. The guys and I even went to relax and celebrate the final series in Yalta!
The premiere episode on February 18 was also watched together (“Weighted People” are aired after the completion of all filming. – Approx. WDay), even coach Denis came. We gathered in the house of Svetlana and Denis Panovs near Moscow. We put a huge TV in the living room and watched the episode on STS. We tried not even to comment in order to hear and remember everything. There were so many emotions! It’s very unusual to look at myself in the old weight – was I really like that ?! And during the breaks, they competed: who will stay in the bar longer or wring out. Denis stood with a stopwatch. Boris Baburov won almost everywhere and became the winner of the project in the final.
