Ural athletes at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio: photos, details

Today is the first day of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Yekaterinburg is represented by 4 girls and 4 guys. Our lucky ones are not only persistent, but also very cute. Meet and cheer!

Anastasia Tatareva, rhythmic gymnastics

Date of Birth: July 19, 1997 (age 19)

Growth: 170 см

Hometown: Ekaterinburg

Specialization: group all-around

Trainers: Irina Viner, Sergaeva T.V., Gavrilova O.A., Dyachenko A.V., Milonova V.V., Shumilova A.V.

Achievements: has been training since the age of 4. Two-time champion of the 2015st European Games – 2014. In 5 at the World Cup in Stuttgart she won two gold and one silver medals. A year earlier, Izmir is also gold. In the same year with the Stuttgrat championship at the European Championship in Baku, she received two gold medals in the all-around and with 2016 ribbons. First place at the European Championships in Holon-2014, two gold medals in Baku-2014, and one silver in the same place. The Russian national team are the absolute champions of Europe in 2016. And in XNUMX they confirmed their status in Holon. Honored Master of Sports of Russia.

Mom Svetlana says:

– The rhythmic gymnastics team flew to the city of São Paulo in Brazil on July 27 to have time to adapt to the time difference. There they have two workouts a day and only one day off a week. Anastasia sleeps off that day. There is no free time at all – the regime is as follows: wake up at 6 am, choreography, breakfast, first training session, lunch, a short rest, second training session, dinner and lights out at 11 pm. The schedule is exactly the same as in Novogorsk near Moscow, where Anastasia lives with other Olympians. And although neither Rio nor Sao Paulo has yet to be seen due to lack of time, Nastya says that the conditions for their team are wonderful! During the day – regular medical procedures, qualified medical staff and other service personnel. The national team will go to Rio closer to the performance, which will take place in the last days of the Olympics.

Ksenia, like other gymnasts, carries plush mascots with her to all competitions – toys that fans throw them “on the carpet” as a child. Usually, during a performance, someone from the support group holds these toys so that they give strength and confidence to the athlete. And I try to watch my daughter’s performance after the fact – so that the excitement is not transmitted.

David Belyavsky, artistic gymnastics

Date of Birth: February 23, 1992 (age 24)

Growth: 163 см

Specialization: all-around

Club: CSKA

Hometown: Votkinsk

Trainers: Lomaev V.N., Chinese P.A.

Achievements: my grandmother brought me to gymnastics at the age of 8. They were sent to a section near the house, but thanks to David’s hard work, he mastered the entire program within a month, and he was advised to go to a specialized school. After another month of classes, he took first place in the competition. Winner of the 2015st European Games in 2013 in Baku (gold for the team championship, silver – uneven bars, bronze – floor exercise). Second place in Montpellier 2013 in the team championship, next year in Moscow: gold – individual all-around, 2014 – parallel bars. Sofia, 2015: gold for the team championship, silver for the uneven bars. Montpellier, 5 – twice silver in all-around and floor exercise. At the Universiade in Kazan, he won gold in the team championship, two bronze medals in floor exercises and the absolute championship, silver – parallel bars. At his first Olympic Games in London, he took 6th place in the individual championship, as part of the team – 7th place, on horse-run – XNUMXth.

This summer, together with his girlfriend Maria Mikhailova, whom he has been dating for more than four years, he opened a Teddy nails manicure studio in Yekaterinburg.

Girl Maria Mikhailova:

– For almost a year and a half, David lived with the goal of getting to the Olympic Games! Everything was planned, and his participation did not come as a surprise. He is very diligent and stubborn, he always does everything to victory, does not give up half way! We constantly communicate with him: we mainly correspond between workouts. Says that Rio is very beautiful, but he thought it would be hotter! Every day they have two workouts with short breaks for rest, food and sleep. On their only day off, they were taken on an excursion to the statue of Christ and the ocean; they never left the Olympic village again. David’s main competitor is himself, because every performance is, first of all, a struggle with himself! You need to concentrate and deal with emotions and excitement.

Date of Birth: November 27, 1994 (age 21)

Education: school of the Olympic reserve number 1.

Head coach: Natalia Valova

Achievements: international master of sports, two-time silver and bronze medalist of the European Championships 2014, 2015, 2016. Winner and medalist of championships and cups of Russia, winner and medalist of friendly “Matches of four countries”, bronze medalist of the World Championships in aquatic sports in Kazan.

Kristina is best at synchronized jumping from a 3-meter springboard in a duet with Nadezhda Bazhina.

Mother Ekaterina Ilinykh:

– Christina says that Rio is beautiful, but the wind is strong and cold. She even got a little cold – after all, they are wet on the springboard.

Christina learned to swim at the age of 4. At the age of 5, she began to practice diving. But the daughter was led to this … love to jumping on inflatable trampolines. First, Christina jumped in the park, then we took her to a special section, where coach Natalya Valova noticed her and offered to go diving. My daughter said that it was like a trampoline, but even more fun!

Christina is very hardworking and purposeful. Since childhood, she dreamed of participating in the Olympic Games. Maybe it helped her withstand the enormous physical exertion. Kristina’s coach Natalia Lvovna is like a second mother to her: they are together at training camps, trainings and competitions. Kristina graduated from the Olympic Reserve School at ul. Shaumyan and entered the Institute of Physical Education. I have always tried to study perfectly well. All relatives, friends, acquaintances and even strangers wish her a successful performance at the Olympics!

Date of Birth: October 4, 1991 (age 25)

Growth: 195 см

Hometown: Novosibirsk

Specialization: blocking

Trainers: Yuri Marichev, Nikolay Karpol

Achievements: master of sports of international class, in 2015 recognized as the best blocking European championship. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Russian national team. She won gold at the European Championships in Germany / Switzerland in 2013, the Netherlands / Belgium in 2015. Also the first place at the Universiades in Kazan-2013 and Gwangju-2015. For her successes in Kazan, she was awarded a diploma of the President of the Russian Federation. Bronze Grand Prix in Tokyo-2014. Winner of the Yeltsin Cup – 2013, silver medalist in 2014. Silver (2013) and bronze (2014) medalist “Montreux Volley Masters”. Silver (2015/16) and bronze (2011/12, 2014/15) medalists of the Russian Championship. Finalist of the European Volleyball Confederation Cup (2013/14). Finalist of the Challenge Cup (2014/15). Since 2011 he has been playing for the Uralochka volleyball club.

Anna Matienko, played together in the national team and in the VC Uralochka:

– Of course, like any athlete, Irina had a goal to get to the Olympic Games. And she achieved it with the hardest work both in the club and in the national team. I know her as a positive, kindest and sympathetic person in life, and on the court – demanding of herself and partners, a gambler. In 2013, she had an injury right before the European Championships (sprained her ankle). She had to recover for a long time and now, two years later, at the 2015 European Championships, she takes the prize for the best blocker! Our competitors are, of course, the hosts of the Olympic Games – Brazil, as well as the United States and China. But I think we can do all the teams, the main thing is to play our own volleyball. I wish good luck to our athletes! And of course, we all believe in Irina! With her purposeful nature, everything will definitely work out!

Regina Domorozova, played together in Khabarovsk:

– I think Irina has been striving for the Olympics all her conscious life: for this she naturally has all the data (high growth, excellent coordination and reaction), which the coaches helped to reveal. Ira is a very open person, she will help in any situation. Last year she sent us a huge package, in which each of the girlfriends had their own signed gift bag. There was also a uniform for the national team. She is very emotional. When we played with her in Khabarovsk, she was our “lighter”. You need to see how she rejoices in victories! We last corresponded with her before Rio, then I didn’t want to distract her.

Mikhail Kuznetsov and Dmitry Larionov, rowing slalom

Dmitry (left) and Mikhail

Mikhail Kuznetsov

Date of Birth: May 14, 1985 (age 31)

Dmitry Larionov

Date of Birth: December 22, 1985 (age 30)

Growth: 180 см

Hometown: Nizhny Tagil

Trainers: Khalturina T.S., Gvozdeva O.V.

Achievements: the only honored masters of sports of Russia in rowing slalom (canoe double). There are already two Olympics behind the athletes, the third in Rio. It was they who received the license for Russia for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. For 10 years, they are the first boat in Russia. Winners of the international competitions ICF “International Tatra Slalom”. We took the third place at the European Championship in Germany – the first for Russia medal at the European Championship in a similar class. A silver medal was won at the World Cup in France. Eight-time champions of Russia and eleven-time winners of the Russian Cup in rowing slalom at the Olympic distance, bronze medalists of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Dmitry and Mikhail were awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree for their contribution to the development of sports and high performance at the Beijing Olympics, 2009. They are engaged in charity work.

Mikhail is single. Dmitry is married, wife Elena and daughter Alena (1,9 years old).

Daria Larionova, Dmitry’s sister:

– From an early age, Dima tried many circles: vocals, dances, even played the accordion. The guys began to go in for rowing slalom at the age of 12 – almost 20 years ago. Mom brought Dima just to see what it is – suddenly like it? The first coach was Tatyana Sergeevna Khalturina, it was she who was able to interest the children. So he stayed at the rowing slalom school. During the first year of training, he was put in a canoe with Misha – they have been inseparable for 19 years. For Dima and Misha, this Olympics is the last, since the canoe-two class is removed as an Olympic discipline. Therefore, the preparation was very serious.

At the World Championships in London in September 2015, the guys won a license for the Olympics for Russia, but this did not mean that they would go. And only at the European Championships in May 2016 did the guys prove that they are the ones who deserve to represent Russia at the Olympic Games.

I would like to add that the guys are the only winners of an Olympic medal in rowing slalom in the history of Russia. And the fact that it is they who have been selected for the Olympics for the third time, overcoming all difficulties and competition, means a lot! They have been at the top of Russian rowing slalom for 13 years.

– Participation in the Olympic Games is a colossal psychological stress. Main competing countries: South Korea, China, India, Ukraine, Mexico. But we have no doubts in our athletes!
