The importance of potatoes and dishes made from it can hardly be overestimated, because it is the main food product for the population of a number of countries. Like bread, potatoes never become boring and that is why they are second only to bread in human life.
Potatoes contain many amino acids, starch, there are other carbohydrates, sugar – mainly glucose, pectin and lipotropic substances. Potatoes contain vitamins, minerals, potassium. However, by spring, last year’s potatoes need to be peeled more thoroughly, since the poisonous glycoalkaloid solanine is formed in it. Green spots are removed completely.

Zeppelins
For 4 servings you will need: six to seven potatoes, 4 tablespoons of starch, 1 egg. For minced meat: 150 grams of cottage cheese, 1 egg, salt to taste. For the sauce: two tablespoons of butter, 3,5 tablespoons of sour cream.
Peel and finely grate boiled potatoes in a peel. Mix eggs with starch and salt and add to potatoes. Form cakes from the resulting mass. Make minced meat for zeppelin like this: add egg, salt to cottage cheese and mix well. Put the minced meat in the middle of each flatbread, connect the edges of the flatbreads, giving them an oval shape. Boil in boiling water for 5 minutes. Vegetable beefsteak
For 4 servings you will need: potatoes – 2 pieces, carrots – 1 piece, parsley root – ½, canned green peas – 3 tablespoons, egg – 1 piece, rice – 1 teaspoon, wheat flour – two teaspoons, butter – 3 tablespoons.
Boil carrots with parsley root in salted water, and then chop on a fine grater. You will need: potatoes – 6 pieces, sauerkraut – 200 grams, onions – 4 pieces, 4-5 tablespoons of melted pork fat, 4 eggs, two tablespoons of wheat flour, ½ cup sour cream, salt, black pepper to taste.
Make mashed potatoes from boiled hot potatoes, mix it with raw eggs. Stush sauerkraut and at the end of stewing, season with salt, pepper, onions fried in fat. Put the cooked potato mass on a greased baking sheet, flatten, put the minced cabbage with onions on it and cover with a part of the potato mass. Bake in the oven. Before serving, the beds are cut into portions, poured with sour cream.
