Undofen is a drug used to treat fungal infections. The drug is safe, however, it should not be used on irritated or damaged skin. Thanks to Undofen, we will reduce the unpleasant odor associated with foot sweating. We apply the drug directly to the affected skin.

Undofen is helpful in treating mycoses. It is suitable for treating infections on the hands, feet or groin, but remember not to use it on mucous membranes. What should you watch out for when using Undofen?

Undofen – indications

Undofen is a spray medicine used to treat fungal skin infections on both the feet and hands, groin and armpits. The use of the drug is to reduce the unpleasant smell resulting from increased sweating of the feet.

Undofen – composition

Undofen contains two active substances. Its composition includes undecylenic acid and cetylpyridinium acid. The auxiliary substances include, among others propylene glycol.

Undofen – contraindications

Undofen should not be used in the case of:

  1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation;
  2. skin changes with a visible inflammatory reaction;
  3. large area of ​​skin with symptoms.

Undofen should also not be applied to the mucous membranes. It should also not be used around the eyes. Undofen is also not suitable for ringworm treatment for children under 2 years of age.

Undofen – side effect

Undofen is considered a safe drug. If any side effects occur, they are usually associated with irritation of the epidermis. There may also be a burning sensation and an unpleasant rash. Symptoms of a contact allergy to undecylenic acid are very rare. This allergy is manifested by a rash that appears at the site of Undofen application.

Undofen – dosage

Undofen should be applied topically to the skin. Before using the preparation, shake it, clean and dry the skin. Undofen should be evenly distributed over the infected area of ​​the skin. The drug can be used 2 or 3 times a day. To achieve a therapeutic effect, Undofen should be applied to the skin for 2 to 4 weeks. When the symptoms of the disease are no longer visible on the skin, it is worth using the drug for the next 4 weeks to consolidate the effect. Usually it is also advisable to spray the shoes.

Undofen – precautions

Undofen should not come into contact with damaged skin, as a burning sensation may occur as the drug penetrates deep into the skin. If mycosis symptoms persist, consult your doctor. The propylene glycol in Undofen may cause irritation.

When using Undofen in an atomizer, be careful with naked flames.

Undofen – pregnancy and breastfeeding

The manufacturer of Undofen does not have information on the effects of the drug on the fetus in the case of topical application. It is also not known whether the substances contained in the drug pass into breast milk in topical application. Undofen during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only be used on the express recommendation of a doctor.

Undofen – interactions

Undofen can have negative health effects when used with other medications. However, you should not be concerned about any interaction of Undofen with food. It is not worth giving up some products and modifying the diet during the treatment.
