Ultrasonic cavitation: reviews and results. Video
Recently, cavitation has become increasingly popular. This mysterious term hides a procedure for getting rid of fatty deposits, which is comparable in effectiveness to surgical liposuction.
The full course of cavitation procedures really allows you to achieve the result as close as possible to the result of surgical intervention. However, like any such procedure, cavitation has more than just positive aspects, and you should resort to using it after making sure that the procedure is completely suitable for you. Be sure to consult a doctor.
The main disadvantage of diets, constant physical activity, body wraps, massage and other non-surgical weight loss products is the frequent cases of relapses. After all, all these methods do not destroy fat cells, they are aimed at reducing their volume: cells decrease, body volume decreases. That is why, as soon as losing weight violates the diet and the rules of a healthy lifestyle, the extra centimeters return to their rightful place. At the same time, the body treacherously tries to accumulate more fat reserves in case they suddenly decide to restrict it in food again.
After ultrasound treatment, lymphatic drainage massage and pressotherapy, obligatory for the cavitation session, follow.
To achieve an effective and final result, fat cells must be eliminated. This is the essence of the liposuction procedure – the surgical removal of fatty deposits, which can have a number of serious consequences.
Most often, the negative effects of liposuction are associated with the use of general anesthesia and residual physical damage. Unlike the surgical method, cavitation does not require anesthesia and is a non-invasive and non-invasive procedure.
At the heart of cavitation is the effect of low-frequency ultrasonic waves on fat cells, the walls of which are destroyed under this influence, and the contents are excreted into the blood and lymph.
The cavitation procedure itself is absolutely painless, its duration depends on the area of the treated surface. In modern salons, you can often see offers to make cavitation at a reduced price, however, before agreeing, ask the staff how long the session will last. The thing is that, contrary to popular belief, cavitation should take not 20-30 minutes, but at least 40. A thirty-minute effect on fat cells has no effect. In addition, it must be remembered that this technique appeared quite recently, and therefore its consequences have not been thoroughly studied, it is believed that fat cells from “unfinished” cavitation swell, but do not have time to burst, and therefore their subsequent degeneration is possible.
The procedure is comfortable: the treated area of the body is abundantly covered with medical gel, and the cosmetologist simply guides it over the skin with a special device. The only feedback from the patient may be a noise or squeak in the ears, this is normal: the body becomes a conductor for ultrasound. The surrounding people, including the doctor, do not hear the squeak.
Conducting lymphatic drainage massage is necessary to avoid stagnation of the contents of fat cells, which are released after ultrasound exposure. It must be removed from under the skin through lymphatic fluids and partly through the circulatory system. Both of these systems require additional stimulation in order to effectively perform their function, and this is exactly the kind of stimulation that massage and pressotherapy provide. Recovery from cavitation is not required.
Cavitation procedures are carried out regularly once a week, the first visible effect is achieved after 2-3 procedures, a full course of weight loss requires up to 10-12 sessions – it all depends solely on the individual characteristics of the body and the density of fat deposits. To increase efficiency, a healthy diet, an active lifestyle, and maintenance of the body’s water balance are recommended. It is usually advised to give up salt and drink at least 2,5 liters of water per day.
Limitations and contraindications
Despite the obvious advantages of this method, it also has its drawbacks. First of all, the procedure cannot be classified as cheap, and since regular repeated repetition is required, the entire course of losing weight will turn out to be very expensive.
It is important to understand that cavitation is the process of complete destruction of fat cells in the treated area. Consequently, if you abandon a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition, fat will again form in the body. And since there will be nowhere for it to be deposited, such unpleasant consequences as the formation of wen in the most unexpected places, for example, the accumulation of fat in the abdominal cavity, are possible. Therefore, the cavitation procedure requires mandatory adherence to the diet and physical activity.
Cavitation is relatively safe because ultrasound has a frequency that only affects dense fat cells, but not cells in other tissues of the body.
That is why, despite the relative safety of the treatment method itself, doctors recommend resorting to the procedure only to get rid of residual fat deposits, those that are extremely problematic to get rid of naturally – by maintaining a proper diet and physical activity.
