However, we all dream of not walking with white legs, but with a golden skin tone, and even tanning sooner. And we know how to do it.

“Sunburn is the body’s defensive response to sun exposure. The pigment melanin is produced in the skin, which darkens the skin to protect it from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation. The rate of tanning depends on the person’s phototype; the whiter the skin, the slower it will develop, ”explains the expert.
However, instant pigmentation, that is, darkening of the skin due to sunburn, occurs after a few minutes of exposure to the sun (which is why it is so important to use SPF products in advance).
“This is due to the oxidation of already synthesized melanin contained in the skin. After 48-72 hours, delayed pigmentation develops, which is associated with an increase in the number of active melanocytes (cells that produce melanin – the pigment that gives the skin a dark complexion) and the activation of melanin synthesis. Interestingly, delayed pigmentation is nothing more than an increase in the protective properties of the skin in response to exposure to aggressive ultraviolet radiation.
