A salad called “Turtle” is not a seafood dish, as one might think. It may contain vegetables, fruits, meat and dairy products, so this salad is perfect for a festive table and is especially appreciated by children. The recipe for “Turtle” is quite simple and will not take much of your time.
Turtle salad: recipe with chicken
To prepare the “Turtle with Chicken” salad, you will need: – 150 grams of smoked chicken; – 4 eggs; – leeks; – a few sour apples; – 100 grams of any hard cheese; – 150 grams of walnuts; – green salad leaves and mayonnaise.
Rinse and hard-boil the eggs, cover them with cold water to clean them better. Then remove the shells and separate the whites from the yolks. Cut the poultry meat into small pieces. Put the washed and dried lettuce leaves on the bottom of a shallow salad bowl – they will accommodate the layers of your “turtle” salad.

Layer the egg whites grated on a medium grater in the first layer, followed by a layer of finely diced chicken. Cover these two layers with mayonnaise and lay out the third with sliced onions. The fourth layer will be a layer of grated apples and another layer of mayonnaise. Gently level the surface of the lettuce and sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over it.
Put the chopped egg yolks in the last layer, coat them with mayonnaise and sprinkle generously with the finished dish with grated nuts. Garnish the salad with a turtle head made with eggs, herbs, carrot slices, and walnuts.

Turtle salad with prunes is prepared from: – 100 grams of chicken fillet; – 4 eggs; – 250 grams of apples; – 150 grams of onions; – 100 grams of hard cheese; – 50 grams of prunes; – 50 grams of walnuts; – salt and mayonnaise …
Boil the chicken in salted water, cool and cut into small slices. Chop the onion finely. Peel the eggs, divide into yolks and whites, grate them separately.
Before adding the chopped onion to the salad, pour boiling water on the onion and leave it in it for ten minutes – this way you will get rid of the bitter taste of the product.
Chop the walnuts and prunes. Leave a few nuts intact. Grate apples and cheese on a medium grater. Place the layers of lettuce on an oval platter in the following order: egg whites, chicken slices, mayonnaise, apples, grated cheese and yolks. At the same time, level and coat the products with mayonnaise. Lay out the shell of the turtle using the walnuts and prunes.
