Turmeric Purifying Facial Mask

Turmeric Purifying Facial Mask

Spices can come in handy not only in the kitchen. For example, a turmeric face mask improves blood circulation, relieves inflammation, and is excellent at fighting acne and redness on the face.

Try a special cleansing treatment using this aromatic spice. It has two parts.

Step 1

Mix two tablespoons of cosmetic face clay with a quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder.

Put one third of the mixture in a bowl, dilute with a little water and add two drops of essential oil lavender… (The remaining dry mix can be stored in a hermetically sealed jar.)

If you have dry skin, apply the mask in a thin layer, if you have oily skin, apply a thick layer. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash off with cool water.

Step 2

To enhance the effect of the mask, steam your face. Toxins accumulate in the pores and fat, and the steam will help open them up and make the skin more susceptible to the effects of turmeric.

Boil two liters of water and transfer to a large bowl. Add three drops essential oil lavender, two drops of clary sage oil, a drop of rose oil or rose geranium oil, and two drops of turmeric oil (or 1/8 teaspoon of powder).

Wait until the water has cooled slightly and the steam stops burning, and bend over the bowl, bringing your face to the surface of the water at a distance of about 15 cm.

You can cover your head with a towel. Steam your skin for 7-15 minutes and then rinse your face with cool water.

Please note that the actions must be carried out in this order – first the mask, and then the steaming. Otherwise, the clay can clog the pores. For owners of sensitive skin, it is enough to do this procedure once a month.

If you have normal or oily skin, then the mask can be applied every week. The results will become noticeable after two or three procedures.
