Turkey with vegetables: stewed or baked?

Turkey stewed with vegetables

Necessary ingredients:

– 600 grams of turkey fillet; – 1 onion; – 1 red carrot; – 1 zucchini zucchini; – 1-2 sweet peppers; – 5 tablespoons of olive oil; – 2 cloves of garlic; – 8 peas of black allspice; – 1 teaspoon dried basil; – ground black pepper; – salt.

Turkey fillet (preferably a thigh) should be washed in cold water, lightly dried and cut into small pieces. Then put the meat in a skillet with overheated olive oil and fry over high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until a beautiful crust is formed.

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Peel and grate the carrots. Finely chop peeled sweet peppers. Peel the zucchini and cut into cubes.

Heat oil in a separate frying pan and fry the onions in it. Then add grated carrots and fry for a few more minutes, then add bell peppers and zucchini and, stirring, fry for another 5 minutes.

Transfer the turkey to the pan where the vegetable stew is being prepared, add spices and finely chopped garlic and fry over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Pour a glass of boiling water into the meat with vegetables, cover and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes.

Turkey baked with vegetables

Necessary ingredients:

– 4 turkey drumsticks; – 1 zucchini; – 1 eggplant; – 2 sweet peppers; – 6 tablespoons of vegetable oil; – salt; – ground black pepper; – spices optional.

For the marinade:

– 300 milliliters of kefir 3,2% fat; – 6 tablespoons of tomato sauce or ketchup; – 2 onions; – 6 cloves of garlic; – ground black pepper; – salt.

Pre-washed and dried drumsticks need to rub the turkey with salt and black pepper, put in a bowl and add chopped onions to them. Mix kefir with tomato sauce and crushed garlic, salt and pepper, add spices to taste and pour the resulting marinade on the drumsticks. Leave for at least three hours, turning the turkey occasionally.

The baked turkey will be even tastier if you add finely chopped fresh dill and parsley to the marinade

Place the marinade, onion and turkey in a greased baking dish. Put peeled zucchini and eggplant cut into slices between the legs, and on top – sweet pepper rings. Season with lightly salt, pepper and, covering the form with foil, put in the oven. Bake at 210 degrees for 60 minutes, then remove the foil and, increasing the temperature to 250 degrees, bake for another 30 minutes, turning the shins from time to time.
