Baked turkey drumsticks with vegetables

Ingredients: – 2 turkey drumsticks (1–1,2 kg); – 300 g of potatoes; – 2 carrots; – 2 sweet red peppers; – 1 onion; – 100 g mozzarella; – 4 cloves of garlic; – 20 g of herbs (dill, parsley, cilantro); – 4 tablespoons ketchup; – 2 tbsp. mustard; – 1/3 tsp each dried basil, white pepper and saffron; – salt; – vegetable oil.

Rinse the turkey drumsticks and rub them with salt to taste and seasoning. Peel the seeds and finely chop the peppers, chop the garlic and herbs with a knife, and grate the mozzarella. Combine all prepared ingredients in a bowl. Make frequent deep cuts in the meat all the way down to the bone and fill the meat with the mixture. Cut the peeled potatoes and carrots into circles, sprinkle with 0,5 tsp. salt and stir with your hands. Brush a baking dish with vegetable oil and place the vegetables in it.

Remove the husk from the onion, cut in half and chop thinly, then scatter over the potato-carrot layer and sprinkle with vegetable oil. In a bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard and coat the poultry legs with this sauce. Let them marinate for 10 minutes, turn on the oven to preheat to 180 ° C. Combine mustard with 1 tablespoon in a bowl. vegetable oil and beat with a fork, rub the turkey thoroughly with this mass. Prepare two large rectangles of foil on the table and brush them with vegetable oil using a cooking brush. Place the pieces of poultry in the centers of the sheets and wrap them in an envelope, pinching the edges tightly. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and place in the oven for an hour.
