Tumors in the eyes: how to remove folk remedies? Video

Tumors in the eyes are not only a physical discomfort and an aesthetic problem, but in some cases a threat to vision. That is why first aid measures depend on the cause of the edema.

Remedies for swelling under the eyes

The following factors can cause a tumor in the eyes:

  • injury
  • a bite of an insect
  • allergy
  • ingress of a foreign body (grain of sand, eyelash, etc.) on the conjunctiva

In addition, swelling of the eyelids can also appear as a result of inflammation or banal lack of sleep. Before resorting to treatment with folk remedies, it is necessary to assess the severity of the situation and, at the slightest suspicion of visual impairment, seek help from an ophthalmologist.

How to remove swelling from the eye at home?

If the swelling in the eye is caused by an insect bite, you can reduce the swelling with a cold compress. You can do it by attaching a cloth soaked in cool water to the eyelid or ice wrapped in a towel. The cold will not only help get rid of the swelling, but also eliminate the itching. Instead of water, you can use a decoction of herbs such as calendula or chamomile. They have an anti-inflammatory effect and thus help to shrink the tumor. To avoid hypothermia of tissues, the compress should be kept for no longer than 5-7 minutes. Then you need to take a break for 15–20 minutes and repeat the procedure.

To prepare the broth, you need a teaspoon of chopped herbs and a glass of water. Before making a compress, the broth must be cooled and filtered through a two-layer gauze

If swelling in the eye is due to allergies, contact with the allergen must be excluded first. If any cosmetic product is the culprit of the negative reaction, you should wash your face thoroughly. After that, you need to take an antihistamine and apply gauze napkins soaked in tea leaves to the eyelids for 15 minutes.

If the cause of a tumor in the eye is inflammation or mechanical injury, self-medication is unacceptable. Delay can pose a serious eye hazard.

Folk remedies for bags under the eyes

Bags under the eyes, unlike a real tumor, do not pose a threat to vision. However, they spoil the appearance of a woman, and therefore you should try to get rid of them. One of the most effective folk remedies for swelling of the lower eyelids is a potato compress.

To prepare it, you need to grate raw potatoes on a fine grater, wrap it in cheesecloth (without squeezing the juice first) and apply it to your closed eyes. After 15 minutes, the compress should be removed, and the face should be washed with cool water. The procedure must be repeated daily until the desired result is achieved.

Instead of gauze bags with grated potatoes, you can use cotton pads soaked in potato juice

You can also get rid of bags under the eyes with the help of a cucumber. To do this, you need to cut it into thin circles and attach them to the eyelids. Keep the cucumber in front of your eyes should be 7-10 minutes. You do not need to wash your face after the procedure.
