Insta divas often show off their perfect abs literally a day or two after they become mothers. But do not believe the pictures on social networks, the truth looks very different.

Even Oksana Samoilova, a mother of many children and the owner of an amazingly chiseled figure, a little was heard in the stomach and hips after giving birth. Although she said that it was very difficult for her to get better – she did not gain weight, and everything eaten immediately burned up in the round-the-clock running after the children. But if Oksana is lucky, then millions of women around the world have to get rid of a postpartum tummy for much longer than a couple of weeks or even a month.
Not everyone succeeds in regaining their old belly, which it was before giving birth. At least because of the stretch marks. And in any case, the body needs time to bounce back.
Immediately after childbirth the belly looks like you are still pregnant, about the sixth or seventh month. The uterus has already begun to contract, but not yet too much. But the weight goes away by leaps and bounds: the excess fluid that was needed to carry the baby goes away, the exfoliated epithelium is separated.
Week after childbirth: weight loss continues. Mainly due to fluid loss. The uterus contracts so quickly that sometimes postpartum contractions occur – the sensations are about the same due to a sharp decrease in the size of the organ. It has been noticed that mothers who are breastfeeding lose weight faster.
Month after childbirth: usually by this time the weight almost returns to pre-pregnant figures, unless, of course, extremely many kilograms have been gained during these 9 months. For the first month after giving birth, a woman loses about 9-10 kilos. Minus the weight of the child himself, the placenta, amniotic fluid – we get a loss of about 15 kg. But the belly still looks flabby and bulging, like you have bloating.
One and a half month after childbirth: the uterus returns to its previous size. Now it remains for the skin to tighten and the excess fat to disappear (if any).
The recovery process can take longer if a woman has diastasis – a divergence of the rectus abdominis muscles. Sometimes it drags on over time if you work on it: both cosmetic procedures and sports help. And sometimes you have to resort to surgical intervention. Most often, diastasis occurs in such cases.
The woman was overweight and apple-type obese before pregnancy.
The woman gained too much weight during pregnancy.
The pregnant woman has poor posture or exercises inappropriate.
Age over 35 years.
Second and subsequent pregnancies.
Diastasis, like stretch marks, can be prevented. But completely that from one misfortune, that from another no one is insured. It’s worth a try, though. The measures are simple.
Wearing clothes with supporting belts during pregnancy: this will help the back, posture, relieve excessive pressure on the bladder.
Doing yoga for pregnant women (in consultation with a doctor and a good trainer) helps both physically and psychologically.
Wear a bandage after childbirth.
Constantly monitor your posture.
Do not lift anything heavy.
