Troyekurov

The name of the cognac “Troyekurov” and the thick-walled, solid shtofs into which the drink is poured are a clear allusion to the landowner’s life of the XNUMXth century. But such a design of cognac is not a tribute to fashion, but the restoration of historical justice. It was in such bottles that the inventor poured alcohol, who created a unique technology for purifying grape alcohol.

Historical reference. In the middle of the XNUMXth century, a large estate in the heart of what is now Stavropol belonged to the Kuryanov brothers. They were hospitable people and, according to the custom of those times, they always had a “strategic stock” of various liqueurs and tinctures in the house.

The younger brother, Alexei Porfiryevich Kuryanov, was interested in mechanics. He himself designed a copper alambik (alembic) for the triple distillation of grape spirit. Even in France in those days cognacs were subjected to double distillation. Alexei Kuryanov called the resulting drink with a mild taste and aroma of grapes vodka. But its taste was so strikingly different from the usual bread vodka that the neighbors called Kuryanov’s drink “Troekurovka” (three times smoked), and the inventor himself – Troekurov.

Kuryanov was proud of this nickname. Over time, he set up the sale of his fruit vodka (grape, apricot, apple), and for its bottling he ordered thick-walled shtoffs at the Vladimir glass manufactory.

After the revolution, a collective farm was organized on the former lands of the Kuryanovs. However, people have not forgotten the recipe for the legendary Troyekurovka. True, in the XNUMXth century, rectified water diluted with water began to be called vodka, so several times distilled and thoroughly purified grape distillate was popularly called moonshine.

In 1960, on the basis of the collective farm, the Krasnooktyabrsky winery was organized. At the beginning of the XNUMXst century, the Zhemchuzhina Stavropol agro-farm was registered, which now owns the state farm land plant.

In an effort to create an original brand, the plant’s technologists remembered Troekurov’s recipes. The company began to produce fruit vodkas using the triple distillation method, and since 2015, Troyekurov cognac.

Specially for bottling “Troekurov” they ordered bottles similar in appearance to those in which fruit vodkas were bottled in the XNUMXth century.

Thanks to triple distillation, Troekurov cognac has a milder taste than analogues of the same aging period. Cognac spirits are made from grapes grown on the lands of the enterprise.

In 2015, at the XXII International Exhibition Prodexpo, the 5-star Troyekurov was awarded a silver medal, and the 3-star was awarded a bronze medal.

Types of cognac “Troekurov”

“Troekurov” 3 years – golden cognac with the aroma of southern fruits and steppe herbs. Mild taste with floral and fruity notes gives way to a slightly sweet aftertaste.
