Tritace – dosage

Adults:

The doctor will decide on the dosage individually. Usually 1 tablet once a day.

Treatment should be started with the lowest dose and then increased gradually, depending on the blood pressure. The maximum daily dose is 10 mg of ramipril and 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide.

If a diuretic has been used, there is a risk of arterial hypotension after starting the preparation. If possible, your doctor will reduce the dose or stop using the diuretic before starting the combination.

Caution should be exercised in people with mild to moderate renal impairment. Your doctor will adjust the dosage. The maximum daily dose in this group of patients is 5 mg of ramipril and 25 mg of hydrochlorothiazide. If the creatinine clearance is less than 30 ml / min, the use of the preparation is contraindicated.

Caution should be exercised in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment and treatment should only be initiated under strict medical supervision. Your doctor will adjust the dosage. The maximum daily dose in this group of patients is 2,5 mg of ramipril and 12,5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide. If there are severe liver dysfunction, the preparation is contraindicated.

If you are elderly, your doctor will recommend a lower starting dose (increased risk of side effects).

It should not be used in children and adolescents up to 18 years of age due to the lack of data on the safety and efficacy of the preparation in this age group.
