Diet, 16:8 contributes to efficient weight loss, found by researchers from the University of Illinois. Any use of products in an eight-hour period between 10:00 and 18:00 hours and fasting for the remaining 16 hours allows people to lose about 3% of body weight in just three months, they told in their study.
The researchers worked with 23 patients with obesity. Each of them has reached 45 years of age and had a median body mass index. Participants were allowed to eat any food in any quantity between 10:00 and 18:00. For the remaining 6 hours were allowed to drink only water and other low-calorie beverages.
The study lasted 12 weeks and was named the “Diet has a name “16:8” because the participants ate only 8 hours and fasted for 16 hours.
It was discovered that these people gradually lost weight and improved blood pressure. Study participants lost about 3% of their weight, and their systolic blood pressure decreased by 7 mm Hg.
The huge advantage of this diet is that this meal plan can be more convenient and easier for people.
According to scientists, the main result from this study is that an effective method of weight loss does not have to include calorie counting or excluding certain foods.
