The Moscow brewing company produces beer, the taste of which repeats the old beer varieties. According to the manufacturers, beer connoisseurs can enjoy about the same beer that the inhabitants of the Russian Empire drank. The first and rather successful experience in the revival of old recipes was the Khamovniki brand. Since 2014, another legendary beer brand, Trekhgornoye, has been on sale. Brewers claim that the drink is prepared in compliance with the classical recipe of the mid-XNUMXth century.
The history of the brand began in 1875. Then the Trekhgorny brewery was opened, where beer was brewed, which received a lot of fans in pre-revolutionary Moscow. The excellent taste of the drink allowed the owners to rapidly increase production. Already in 1913, the plant produced six million decaliters of beer per year. The change of power did not destroy the enterprise, although it did make some changes to its work. Since 1935, the production has changed its name to the Badaevsky brewery.
In 2006, the plant was acquired by the Moscow Brewing Company. Since the autumn of 2014, this brand has become a partner of the capital’s Spartak team.
Types of beer Trekhgornoe
Trekhgornoe original
Traditional ale with a strength of 4,9 degrees and high gravity. Brewed with barley malt, top-fermenting yeast and Polaris hops from Germany. Can be stored for nine months. The beer has a golden hue, a malty aroma with fruity undertones and a bitter taste tinged with the sweetness of vanilla. Aftertaste with bitterness and light citrus tone.
Trekhgornoe non-alcoholic
This is a classic non-alcoholic drink with an ethyl alcohol content of up to 0,5%. The composition includes Czech hops Zhatetsky semi-early chervenyak, which allows the beer to ferment at low temperatures. Beer has a golden color, classic hop aroma and taste with a pronounced hint of bitterness.
Trekhgornoye White Ale
This beer with a strength of 4 degrees is a rebranded seasonal drink Trekhgornoye Summer. Production is sustained in the Belgian style, the brewing process includes cold hopping with American hops Caskade and Mosaic. Beer has a complex aroma with notes of spices and fruits. The taste is soft, malty with pronounced grapefruit bitterness. The drink is not filtered or pasteurized, has a rich color and yeast sediment with hop particles.
Trekhgornoye Spicy Ale
Beer with a strength of 5 degrees, the Moscow brewing company has released for the Polish market and the Russian network “Bristol”. For its brewing, Cascade hops and 4 types of malt are used: caramel, Viennese, light and chocolate. Unusual taste of the drink is given by spices, among which cinnamon and ginger are clearly audible.
Trekhgornoye Manufactory Ale
The composition of this drink with a strength of 5 degrees includes juniper berries, which give a slight sourness to the classic bitter taste. Beer has a rich brown-red hue and caramel-berry aroma.
Trekhgornoye Golden Ale
Columbus hops brewed in the British Golden Ale style has a light floral aroma and a mild sweet taste. The alcohol content is 4,5%. The aftertaste reveals notes of honey, citrus and light bitterness.
Trekhgornoye Christmas Ale
This drink is brewed by MPK brewers only once a year, especially for Christmas and New Year. Beer has a spicy aroma and flavor of cinnamon, nutmeg. A note of ginger is clearly audible in the aftertaste. Ale is made with Cascade hops and four types of malt: caramel, Viennese, pale and chocolate. Beer is not pasteurized.
