Main Ingredients.

  • Green tomatoes – 0,75 kg. Any variety will do.
  • Bulgarian pepper and onion – 0,25 kg each.
  • Carrot – 0,35 kg.
  • A little salt and sugar to taste.
  • ½ cup sunflower oil.
  • Vinegar 9% – a tablespoon.
  • Tomato sauce – 250 ml.
  • A few peas of black pepper.

How to cook:

This amount of ingredients is enough to cook lecho at home for the winter in the amount of 1,6 liters. Before starting work, all components are thoroughly washed and cleaned.

  1. Preparatory stage – cut each tomato into 2-4 pieces, cut the peppers and onions into half rings. We take a large grater and three carrots.
  2. The next stage is the preparation of lecho for the winter. We put the pot on the fire.
  3. Add all prepared vegetables one by one.
  4. Pour tomato juice on top.
  5. In a tightly closed saucepan over low heat, vegetables should languish for about 1,5 hours. Do not forget to stir the dish at least occasionally to avoid burning it.
  6. When the time is right, open the lid and test the vegetables for readiness. Now they need to be salted and sweetened, add prepared pepper.
  7. After 10 minutes, add the last ingredient – vinegar and mix the mass.
  8. We sterilize the jars and let them dry. We lay lecho from tomatoes in jars.

Eggplant has long been as popular and loved as zucchini. They taste good and are quick to prepare. To prepare lecho, we need:

  • 1 kg. carrots.
  • 1 kg. peppers.
  • 3 kg. eggplant.
  • 10 pieces. bulbs.
  • 1 garlic.

Separately for filling:

  • Sugar and sunflower oil – 0,3 kg each.
  • Salt – 3 tablespoons.
  • Vinegar 9% – a little less than a tablespoon.

If you want to make a more satisfying snack that can be put on the table as a main course, then the rice lecho recipe will surely suit you.

For cooking, you need to take bell peppers, onions and carrots in equal parts – only 500 gr each, you will also need tomatoes in the amount of 3 kg. The total amount of rice for harvesting is 1 kg. For taste characteristics, let’s add a glass of sugar and one and a half glasses of vegetable oil. Although there is no salt in the recipe, it can be added, as well as various spices.

  1. We wash the rice under running water, pour boiling water over it and let it brew under a warm towel.
  2. Remove skin from tomatoes. To do this, they are dipped in boiling water for a few seconds. After that, in a blender, we get a homogeneous mass from them.
  3. The tomato mass will simmer for about an hour over low heat.
  4. During this time, chop the onion and carrot. The latter can be grated if desired.
  5. After an hour, add all the other ingredients to the tomatoes. The mixture will boil for about 40 minutes. Then it can be laid out in banks.
