Trappist Single Ale

He’s a monastic ale. Brewed in monasteries, rarely found outside abbeys, it happens that a bottle of Trappist ale is not even labeled in any way.

The taste is distinguished by richness and depth, the beer is not strong, drinkable, bitter, slightly carbonated, in the bouquet you can feel the tones of spices, fruits, flowers, grains, biscuit, crackers, honey. Yeast character is pronounced. The background is sweetish, malty, but the taste is more hoppy. The finish is dry.

El has a light golden color, transparent, forms a relatively stable foam. In the mouth, the tongue may tingle slightly, it feels soft, alcohol is almost not felt.

It is made from Pils, Zatec hops, Trappist yeast. The style is similar to the German Pils, but differs in the nature of the fermentation. Not as sweet as a Belgian pale ale, close to a tripl, but more hoppy and lower in alcohol.

Density: initial 1.044-1.054, final 1.004-1.010.

Bitterness Index: 25-45 IBU.

Color: 3-5 SRM.
