Train your brain while you sleep

Those who are able to realize themselves in a dream are better at solving problems in reality.

This conclusion was made by psychologists at Lincoln University (USA). “During sleep, we do not notice the absurdities and inconsistencies that indicate the unreality of what is happening,” explains Dr. Patrick Bourke, author of the study. “In order to realize that we are dreaming, we need to be able to distance ourselves from the situation, to understand its conditionality.” In the waking state, this ability helps us think critically, such as picking up on a contradiction in a news report. Although it is not easy to learn self-awareness, this skill is available to everyone. The authors advise to start by trying to answer the question at the moment of a dream: is this happening in reality or am I dreaming?
