Trail running is recommended by many fitness instructors. More than four hundred people gathered in Bitsevsky Park to try their hand at a new sport.
Race in Bitsa Park
Of course, trail running can be regarded as a hobby, but if you think about this sport seriously, then you should know that the most common distances are 5, 10, 20 and 30 kilometers. And some of the pros even run marathons (42 km, 50 km and 50 miles).
Since 2008, trail running competitions have been held in Russia. Salomon has organized a series of tournaments in our low-asphalted country – in Sochi, St. Petersburg and Moscow. It was in the capital that the next competitions were held in mid-November. More than four hundred people gathered in Bitsevsky Park to try their hand at a new sport.

More positive than other athletes
“We are pleasantly surprised that such a new discipline for Russia attracted so many participants – 359 people reached the finish line, almost 500 people registered – and this despite November with all its weather risks,” she admitted Жанна Вокуева, international master of sports in mountain running, winner Windstopper Trail Running World Masters.

Choosing the right shoes
Although trail running can be done with regular running shoes, experts still advise purchasing trail running shoes for this sport. Moreover, winter is approaching.
