Regardless of the body’s self-cleaning capabilities, which only apply to the respiratory and urinary systems, we should detox several times a year. It is especially recommended when we feel sluggish, tired, have problems with concentration and falling asleep, hair has lost its shine and nails have become brittle.

It is impossible to avoid toxins in everyday life, moreover, bad chemical reactions taking place in cells cause the body to produce toxins itself. In winter, internal organs may be overloaded with them to such an extent that they will not be able to clean themselves of them. In addition to the above-mentioned symptoms, excess toxins suggest digestive problems, such as bloating, a feeling of heaviness and swelling in the legs, skin discoloration, rashes, acne or body odor.

In addition to the beneficial effect on the appearance and well-being, cleaning it will make it easier to lose weight, if we have already made such an intention.

Detox action

Real cleaning should include diet and physical activity. There are a wide variety of supplements on the market to help detox, as well as water and eating the right foods.

  1. Water – drink 2 liters a day, also in the form of herbal and fruit teas. A glass before a meal will curb your appetite. Dehydration causes constipation, headaches, dry skin, fatigue, so we can’t forget about it. Water flushes out toxins and harmful metabolic products from the body, is responsible for the filtration of the kidneys.

  2. Lemon – with alkaline properties supports detox. It is advisable to drink a glass of water with lemon juice every morning to stimulate the intestines. Lemon improves cleansing and liver function, dissolving gallstones.

  3. Grapefruit – supports digestion and metabolism, cleanses.

  4. Onion – although not to everyone’s taste, it is worth reaching for it, because it cleanses both heavy metals and parasites. In raw form in salads or sandwiches, it will reduce cholesterol levels.

  5. Beetroot – they will detoxify the intestine, liver, gallbladder and kidneys. Raw beetroot juice has the best properties.

  6. Green tea – cleanses from toxins, pesticides, preservatives and artificial dyes. The infusion should be drunk half an hour before a meal, of course, unsweetened.

  7. Cress – added to sandwiches, it will free the blood and respiratory system of toxins, and due to its diuretic effect, also the kidneys and urinary tract.

  8. Oat flakes – detoxify the body, reduce cholesterol. The fiber contained in them will stimulate the work of the intestines.

  9. Apples – they are rich in pectins with cleansing properties, which not only lower cholesterol, but also improve the intestines.

  10. Cranberries – thanks to its diuretic effect, it accelerates detoxification. Not only fresh fruit, but also juice has antibacterial properties. It removes toxins, just like other red fruits, e.g. raspberries, cherries, blueberries.
