A model is not a model without a graceful gait and ability to present oneself. That is why the very first lesson for the participants of the project “Top Model of Chuvashia – 2015” was devoted to the catwalk and acting.
It would seem that the casting is passed – you can rejoice in this victory and enjoy life. But it was not there! Charming the jury members was the easiest task. All the difficulties are ahead. And they started booingly from the first lesson. Participants of the competition “Top Model of Chuvashia – 2015” must as soon as possible learn the basics of modeling art and “not fly out” of the project. Experienced teachers cannot be fooled, they will immediately see the “hack”.
The first lesson was devoted to acting. The teacher is actor and showman Viktor Shevtsov.
Many people might think: why should models master acting? Learning to walk and smile like Hollywood is enough. But not everything is so simple. It is important for models to be able to convey emotions in order to properly display clothes, accessories and other advertised goods.
And from whom to learn to work “with a face” if not from a professional actor? Viktor Shevtsov held a lesson with the project participants, during which young men and women tried to overcome their fear of public speaking, and also learned to present themselves in front of the camera and the audience. Beginning top models really liked the exercises aimed at team building.
Having received the basics of acting, the project participants took a master class from Natalia Devyatykh. The head of the modeling agency taught the boys and girls to walk on the catwalk. According to her, the most difficult thing for the participants was the ability to keep the back and balance.
If you also want to learn how to walk beautifully, here are some valuable tips:
Watch your posture! To do this, you can use an orthopedic corset for the back or walk (during training) with a book on your head.
After learning to maintain your posture, start walking along the line. Try barefoot first, then heels. Walk strictly along the line, exactly along the tightrope, performing cross movements with your legs from the hip. Don’t try to wag your hips!
Don’t forget your hands. Don’t wave them around. You should not throw your hand back beyond your body – you are not a distance skater.
The final touch will be the look. Look in front of you, not at your feet. The look should be confident, slightly cocky and open. Rehearse in front of a mirror.
Voting for the participants of the project “Top Model of Chuvashia – 2015” will begin very soon on our website. Don’t miss the opportunity to vote for the model you like!
