At the beauty festival in Yekaterinburg, the capital’s top make-up artist Svetlana Grebenkova showed step by step how to create a make-up in the spring-summer 2017 trends.
Sometimes, trying to copy makeup from the covers of magazines, from the catwalks, in the blogs of the stars, we forget to adapt it to our lifestyle. Fashion is fashion, but makeup for every day should first of all emphasize your appearance and make it as harmonious as possible.
One of the most interesting trends of this season is monochrome makeup, that is, made in one color.
If I have an hour for make-up, then I will devote 45 minutes to working on the skin. To keep the tone even, clean it thoroughly first. I prefer micellar foam – after it the skin will not be wet, so you can immediately apply makeup. I also love exfoliating wipes – one of its sides is abrasive, removing the stratum corneum.
By the way, on a note: if you have problem skin with acne, then there should be a minimum of makeup – it only emphasizes imperfections.
Apply a radiant base and tone
We prepare the skin for make-up: we apply a complex of caring oils to the face, which are not completely absorbed and create the effect of “glossy skin”. Then – a radiant base and tone. Preparing the skin with radiant products will not flatten your face, meaning you will spend less products, time and effort when contouring.
We need to make the skin look sleek. If necessary, you can apply concealer under the eyes.
We shape the eyebrows with a special powder that tints the hairs. Then we fix it with gel.
We draw the peri-eyelash contour with a brown pencil – as close as possible to the eyelashes and between them.
Apply a gray-brown shine or pigment to the upper and lower eyelids with a fluffy brush. They will look very beautiful, shimmering in different shades in the light.
Feather the border of applying shadows, soften the transition.
With a brown pencil-kayal we work out the lower mucous membrane. Now the trend is the outline of the eyelid, when the eye is intensively drawn from above and below with a bright pencil. But remember: this is not for everyone!
We curl long eyelashes with a curler, pressing them at the base, in the middle and at the very tip. On short lashes, I prefer to use a regular spoon.
We paint eyelashes with mascara
We paint the eyelashes with brown mascara – it is best suited to this delicate, translucent story, it will not weigh down the look.
If you decide to do a delicate makeup, then work in a special way not only the eyes and lips, but also the eyebrows and face tone, and replace the contouring with light bronzing.
Create shadows that might appear after exposure to the sun. Let’s go through a yellow-olive bronzing powder, applied to a large fluffy brush, along the cheekbones, neck, temples and collarbones.
We paint the lips. I first applied a nude lipstick, but I didn’t like the result. Therefore, I erased it, tinted the skin around the lips again and used a caring balm with a light shade.
Applique decoration has now become trendy. It is on a transparent base, so you can attach them to different parts of the body and see where it looks best. In our version, I would stick it on the forehead or on the neck – the neckline of the dress allows.
