The list of films is built according to the principle from the highest grossing film – then in descending order – to the least box office. The list does not show an attempt to show which film is better and which is worse – only dry box office numbers.

1. Logan | Box Office $445 million

Logan (2017). Based on the dry language of numbers, the highest-grossing film is the final episode of the X-Men story, Logan: The Wolverine. And yet, the lovers are still together and once again danger hangs over them – Gray’s former lovers still do not want to leave him alone, which means that Anastasia has yet to defend herself from their anger.

The sequel to the acclaimed erotic drama is on the list of the highest grossing films of 2016-2017 in second place with a box office of $ 370 million, second only to the blockbuster from Marvel.

Three X’s: World Domination (2017). The third part of the Three X series takes the third place in the ranking of the highest grossing films with a total collection of 345 million dollars.

Split (2016). The low-budget picture “Split” about a mental disorder brought the creators as much as $ 250 million, so the film deserves to be called one of the highest grossing film projects of 2016-2017.

8. John Wick 2 | Box Office $154 million

John Wick 2 (2017). The continuation of the story of one of the best hired killers, John Wick 2, gathered rave reviews from critics and ordinary viewers.

Keanu Reeves remains in the title role, and the plot continues exactly from the moment the first film is uploaded. This time, John, being bound by an oath, is obliged to work for an old friend and once again forget his dreams of a quiet life.

9. Dog life | Box Office $144 million

Dog Life (2017). The rating of the highest grossing films of 2016-2017 again includes a low-budget picture about the life of a dog, which, after death, is reborn with one single purpose – to serve a person and be his best friend.

“A Dog’s Life” was able to collect about 144 million dollars, which indicates the success of the film adaptation of the novel of the same name, which cost only 22 million dollars.

10 Underworld: Blood Wars | Box Office $85 million

Underworld: Blood Wars (2016). The penultimate film in the beloved Underworld franchise rounds out the top-grossing films of 2016-2017 with $85 million in total. The film cost $35 million to make.

The fifth part tells about the alleged last confrontation between werewolves and vampires, where Celine, played by Kate Beckinsale, will play the main role.
