They appear as early as 4 weeks and are one of the earliest signs that a woman is pregnant. Ways to relieve nausea must be natural and 50% safe, so you should usually consult your doctor. Although there is no fully effective medicine that will stop vomiting, you can try to make it less tiring:
- Snacks during the day. One of the causes of nausea is a drop in blood sugar. Therefore, it is worth having a cereal bar, crackers, nuts or other relatively filling snacks in your purse.
- Avoiding spicy and fatty foods. This type of food burdens the stomach and additionally irritates it, which will not have a positive effect on nausea.
- Avoid irritating odors. The taste or smell of certain foods may increase the tendency to vomit.
- Not binge eating at night. Also eliminate any odors that can cause nausea – ventilate the apartment and do not prepare dishes with an intense smell.
- ginger tea. The best is fresh ginger, a slice of which you can put in boiling water or tea. It is known for its antiemetic properties.
- Drinking at least 2,5-3 liters a day. Thanks to this, you will avoid dehydration of the body and weaken the gag reflex. Be careful, however, that these are small portions drunk quite slowly. Pay attention to what you drink – avoid sugary drinks, opt for vegetable juices, still water and herbal teas.
- Physical activity. Gymnastics, walks and meetings with friends are recommended. It’s important not to sit still. Inactivity is bad for your digestive processes and will make you focus more on your ailments.
- Vitamin B6. It should not be missing in your daily diet. It relieves nausea and eliminates the gag reflex. It is present primarily in spinach, potatoes, lean meat, bananas, cabbage, cauliflower, peas, carrots, fish, peanuts, soybeans, beans, wheat germ.
- Eat often and little. So, as with most slimming diets – you should eat so as to fill up, but not overeat. It is important to chew each bite thoroughly and not to eat in a hurry.
- Snack after waking up. That is, starting the stomach already in bed, before breakfast. It can even be rusks or biscuits washed down with warm tea, but it is important to lie down for 10 to 15 minutes after eating them and then slowly get up.
Getting the right amount of sleep is also important. Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy are stronger if the expectant mother does not rest for a long time. After waking up, it is not good to get out of bed, it is better to wait some time. A long, uninterrupted sleep is needed at this time of life much more than at any other time!
