This is the tragic relationship of an alcoholic and a prostitute – two people who found each other in a terrible and cruel world and are ready to support each other, but want to remain independent. Ben does not want to give up alcohol, and Sera does not intend to give up prostitution, even though she entered into a relationship with Ben. The heroes of the film are people who are confused in themselves and want to find their happiness in life. Although the audience hopes for a happy ending, nevertheless, deep down they feel that this story will not have a happy ending.
9. Sophie’s choice
A film about people who survived a terrible tragedy during the Second World War. The story is that after some losses it is impossible to recover and return to normal life. After certain events, the characters in the film are no longer able to live their lives. They are doomed to remain forever in their past. This is a film about hopelessness and constant pain that has settled in memories and haunts people who have experienced the worst nightmares. Sophie is not able to forgive herself for her choice, although she understands that she was a hostage to circumstances and could not do anything.

The meaning of the film is that the main enemy comes into human life not from the outside world, but from within. The film reflects the inhumanity of the people inhabiting the Earth.
