If there were no trees, cities would become dramatically louder, because they perfectly absorb noise.

10 European larch
Coniferous plants always look great in the garden, which is why they are so popular among gardeners. European larch refers to coniferous trees, the needles of which fall to the cold.
The trunk of this beauty is even, and the dimensions of some can reach 25–35 m! You raise your head and admire such beauty, “growing” to the sky. This tree grows quickly – flowering is particularly attractive, which distinguishes it from other coniferous species.
In spring, golden male cones with a round structure appear on European larch simultaneously with young needles. This beautiful, sophisticated tree can live up to 500 years, but its frost resistance is not the highest – it should be taken into account.
9. Blackthorn is tree-like
Unlike the previous tree, caragana tree – a small tree (or shrub), usually grafted on a trunk, then it has an umbrella crown. The leaves of the caragana are green, it blooms in May with yellow flowers.
The plant is good because it looks very attractive, and unpretentious in care. Possesses the second zone of frost resistance. This tree looks good as a tapeworm. Actually, for the unpretentiousness and appearance of the caragana, it has become such a popular tree.
The birthplace of the tree-like caragana is Siberia, Central Asia and the Far East. A shrub or tree grows up to 2,5 m in height, in winter it needs protection from the cold wind. It tolerates shearing well and is suitable for hedges.
8. Juniper
Juniper – one of the most beautiful plants, but not suitable for a small garden. Coniferous plants in the garden or in the country always look charming. Since the juniper grows strongly, it is worth taking care of the territory.
For 15 years, from a plant with one branch, a one and a half meter giant is obtained, with a width and height of about 2,5 m. There are a lot of varieties of this plant (about 40), and they can be combined to create beautiful coniferous compositions.
Juniper is a plant that looks very beautiful, decorates any garden, but is undemanding to care for. It is better to plant the plant in a bright zone, if this is done in the shade, then it will lose its appearance.
7. Sumac
Sumac (or in other words “vinegar tree”) grows rapidly, especially at a young age. From a small planted twig, a tree grows in a year, 1 meter high, and in two years it will delight you with a height of up to 2,5 m.
Sumac is a beautiful, unpretentious, bright tree that creates some special southern atmosphere on the site. However, this tree is from North America, so it is not afraid of Russian winters. It calmly tolerates cold down to -30 degrees.
The tree is remarkable mainly because of its openwork umbrella-shaped crown. Its branches are covered with pubescence and resemble deer antlers in appearance. The sumac looks especially decorative in autumn – the leaves become very bright – ranging from yellow to burgundy.
6. Tamarisk
This tree has high decorative properties, unpretentious. At tamarisk very thin openwork foliage of different colors, if the tree is not cut, then it grows in huge bushes, which does not look very beautiful.
Tamarix is especially interesting when butterflies flock to it – they love to sit on this tree! The leaves of the tree can hardly even be called leaves – it is air fluff. Very thin, like threads.
Tamarisk winters well, in spring it blooms with pretty cute pink panicles-clusters, which, with regards to growth, grows quite quickly. The main thing is to find the tree in the most sunny and dry place.
5. Tulip Liriodendron
Every gardener wants to decorate their site – of course. And then you think about planting interesting, beautiful trees. Tulip Liriodendron – the oldest tree in the south of Russia, its trunk is huge, the leaves are large in size.
This tree hibernates without shelter, but grows slowly. Can reach a height of 25 meters! For the first time it blooms very late – at 20-35 years old, although some specimens bloom much earlier – and at 7 years old.
Tulip liriodendron (aka tulip tree) develops gradually and captivates with its flowers with the advent of spring. The tree causes indescribable delight among gardeners, the only thing that stops from planting is slow growth.
4. Rough elm
Rough elm it looks very nice, so gardeners are willing to plant it on their site. This bush is unpretentious, only in the first years after planting it requires careful treatment.
Also, the elm has a second name “mountain elm”, the tree grows in European countries: in the Caucasus, in the Crimea, in Asia Minor. It reaches a height of 30 m, has a dense crown, the diameter of which is about 2 m.
The hairy elm starts flowering in March or April and bears fruit in late spring or early summer. Botanists distinguish 3 types of this tree: pendula, camperdowny and weeping. This tree loves moisture, so it can suffer due to severe drought.
3. Barberry
Can be grown in the garden barberry, however, his bush is very prickly – this is the main danger! Barberry looks amazing: it has green leaves, yellow flowers and a fantastic aroma.
The plant is prickly – pruning should be done with gloves on, and after it, collect all the branches that have flown away, otherwise there is a risk of cutting your leg. The barberry grows quite quickly, reaching a height of 2 m.
This tree bears large and often edible berries that are used in dishes in cuisines around the world. Dwarf varieties of barberry are grown at home. By the way, this tree got its “candy” name at the suggestion of Soviet confectioners, who named the famous caramels after him.
2. Balsam fir
A tree with an interesting name is a common coniferous plant brought to Russia from abroad. The tree fell in love with flower growers for ease of care, high decorative properties.
Under natural conditions balsam fir can reach 25 m in height and 0,8 m in diameter. Fir was nicknamed balsamic, because the tree emits a specific fragrant resin that has healing properties.
Fir looks very interesting in appearance, forming a conical shape.
The branches of the tree are quite thin, but close to each other. The most popular varieties of the species: Brilliant, Nana, Piccolo, Kiwi and others. Looks amazing, perfect for any garden!
1. Bagryannik
Bagryannik (aka Canadian cercis) in its homeland can grow up to 30 m tall, and in the conditions of the Moscow region it freezes, but it all depends on the origin. It should be expected, growing in the Russian regions, that in 10 years the tree will grow only up to 6–8 m.
This plant is very beautiful, so gardeners want to see it on their site. It grows as a tree with a pronounced trunk. At first glance, it resembles a linden, but instead of winged nuts, there are pods, like those of a yellow acacia.
The homeland of the scarlet is the North American continent. Here the tree grows in almost all states. But it can also be found in Central Asia, Armenia, Georgia. Crimson looks incomparable – consider it if you want to add charm to the plot.
