In the Moscow region, of course, there are pluses for recreation and living: here it is freer than in Moscow, which is teeming with visitors, you can live in silence in a private house, in the Moscow region, rent is lower, the air is clean – some areas can boast of good ecology, and so on. because you have to travel a lot by car, then this is the pinnacle of romance!
Of course, there are also disadvantages, but our article is not devoted to the pros / cons of the Moscow region, but to the most beautiful cities! Here we will learn about which are considered the most beautiful.
10 Wedge
Wedge – a wonderful city in the Moscow region. Stops are small. In Soviet times, large-scale industrial production was launched in Klin, for which the city paid a high price. Now there are many historical places in the town – you can come here at least for the sake of them! Many buildings from ancient times have been preserved.
The city is rather peculiar, but the main thing is that the roads are in satisfactory condition. Separately, I would like to note the view of the Sestra River – excellent! The city is interesting for many things, the main ones are: red shopping arcades, the Mushroom Girl fountain, the memorial of the Klin encirclement. Everything looks nice and is in good condition.
9. Istra
Once upon a Time Istra had a different name – Voskresensk, and was formed near the walls of the male New Jerusalem monastery. In 1930, the town was renamed, but whatever it is called, it is difficult to confuse it with any other. A peculiar atmosphere reigns here, and the main attraction is, in fact, the monastery named above.
Russian Palestine is the pearl of the city, which people from all over the country and even foreigners come to see. Usually, visitors follow the following route: they walk on Revolutionary Square, past Zvyagin’s house, where, by the way, you can relax on a bench, look at the monuments next to Zvyagin’s house, etc. There are many monuments dedicated to the Second World War, and they are all very soulful.
8. Mozhaisk
When traveling around the cities of the Moscow region, do not forget to visit Mozhaisk – a city that is very likely to win your heart. It is worth stopping by the city, suddenly, like a haze, all problems are drawn in, household worries go by the wayside. Mozhaisk is a magical place, and you will immediately feel it. The city is buried in greenery and flowers, and the heart is filled with joy!
The people here are friendly, the streets are clean, and the houses are old with wooden shutters. Mozhaisk and Ruza are considered the cleanest cities in the Moscow region, there are excellent schools here. But many would like to move here closer to retirement, because there is nothing special for young people to do here: there are few shops, people live like in a big village, everyone knows each other. For introverts – a great solution.
7. Serpukhov
Arriving in SerpukhovYou will never regret the time or money spent. Serpukhov is attractive to many, but especially the abundance of churches and monasteries, the water park, the city of Tarusa, the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve with bison, the historical and art museum, parks with interesting sculptures and others.
Serpukhov is called a non-tourist city. There are many squares, trees, the streets can be called green. In addition, they are spacious – there is where to roam! Sovetskaya is considered the main street – it is long, and the architecture on it is diverse. Here you can admire copies of paintings by prominent artists, visit the park. There are few pre-revolutionary houses in the city, which is interesting – many wooden one-story houses are located right next to the road.
6. Dubna
This town will leave after visiting the most pleasant memories: in Dubna you can swim in the Volga, walk along the clean streets, visit the forest. What you will see here is a wooden chair (the largest in Russia, its length is 9 m, it stands by the road). Everything is prosaic – there is a furniture factory nearby.
Boron is everywhere – the trees smell magical! These are pines, and they are everywhere. The city is very green – by taking or renting a bicycle, you can explore the surroundings and other nearby cities with a breeze. On the embankment you can sit and enjoy the silence, read a book or “surf” on your phone. By the way, the embankment is named after the Russian chemist and scientist Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev.
5. Volokolamsk
There are undoubtedly many interesting places in the Moscow region, Volokolamsk – one of them. But it can hardly be called a city, rather, a village: transport is rare, the roads are narrow, and there are no sidewalks. The city park is not illuminated, so it is unlikely that it will be comfortable to walk at night. There is only one shopping center in the city.
But is there anything to see here? It is worth visiting the main attraction of Volokolamsk – the Kremlin. It is small but very photogenic. The ensemble includes 2 churches. There is an observation deck on the bell tower. In general, the city does not favor historical monuments, but, despite this, it is pretty. Visitors love to look at the spectacular memorial to the Panfilov Heroes.
4. Sergiev Posad
Continuing the selection of the most beautiful cities near Moscow, you can not ignore Sergiev Posad. This city has a developed infrastructure, transport accessibility (proximity to the railway and bus stations to the center), well-groomed, and there are many museums for those who prefer a cultural holiday. It’s good to visit here, but not so much to live here, because it’s bad with work.
The first place where visitors go is the Trinity-Sergius Lavra (exit the station, a little to the left and forward), look at the Eternal Flame, 2 churches built in the XNUMXth century. Visitors especially like the bell tower – they just don’t let them inside. In addition to the Lavra, in Sergiev Posad there is where to walk, where to stay. An ideal place for introverts and freelancers. This place is mainly chosen by people inclined towards spirituality.
3. Podolsk
Those who live in Podolskrespect this city. Moscow can be quickly reached by train. This is a fairly developed city in all directions, and what beautiful views! There are many sculptures and monuments in Podolsk, as well as industrial enterprises, which, of course, cannot but affect the environment.
The building dedicated to the memory of Lermontov attracts attention – a work of stone glyptics. The image is quite recognizable, these are illustrations for the “Hero of Our Time”. Pushkin, apparently, visited these places, if he was given a whole square, and even a bust was installed! There is also a sculpture of Leo Tolstoy – they say that he came to this city. Podolsk is a small town, but it is growing and developing before our eyes.
2. Kolomna
Kolomna – a small town, but recommended for visiting. Closer to the city center, you can take a whole tour! There are few sights in the city, nevertheless it is very pleasant to be here, it feels like you are in the past. While walking, you should definitely look at the Kolomna Kremlin – everything is beautiful in it.
Here you can see other sights: merchants’ mansions, monasteries, museums, souvenir shops. The main place in Kolomna is Cathedral Square, and its main decoration is the Assumption Cathedral. It is pleasant to walk slowly around the city, look around and see some temple – the history of each of them is interesting and old.
1. Zvenigorod
The city with an interesting name will not leave you indifferent. “Amazing!” – this is how tourists speak of it. AT Zvenigorod fabulous air, everything is surrounded by pines and firs. Until 2010, the city had the status of a historical settlement, after which it was canceled. Now it is built up with reinforced concrete blocks of mass construction. Not the most joyful.
But what pleases is that there are no paid parking lots in the city. The central street of Zvenigorod is Moskovskaya, mainly the private sector here. Modern quarters are on the outskirts, the city is now actively built up. Upon arrival, tourists visit the Merchant’s Yard – here you can buy souvenirs, see information about the history of the city. You can see a lot here, and take a walk where – there is. By the way, this city was not taken by the Nazis, although the battles took place literally at the city walls.
