The main attraction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Tour in Xi’an is, of course, a daily fountain show, which takes place in the northern square, where the towering structures of the iconic building provide the perfect backdrop for a spectacular performance.
The Fountain Festival, held every day, is considered the most significant fountain exhibition in all of Asia and one of the most beautiful in the world. Its highlight is a musical fountain, 25 meters high.
A whopping 1024 water nozzles are used to create an optical illusion that moves to the rhythm of Chinese and classical music. Synchronized to move in time with the music, beams of light cast gigantic shadows across the sky, while the water below takes on vibrant hues with every turn and movement.
In the air at a height of 60 meters from the water, the show creates waves in which getting the audience wet is a necessary condition, if not an additional benefit, of visiting China’s largest aquatic spectacle.

8. Buckingham Fountain, 40 m. USA
The design was inspired by one of the ornate fountains at the Palace of Versailles in France built for Louis XV. It’s just twice the size of the original, making it one of the largest fountains in the world. The size is meant to symbolize the enormity of nearby Lake Michigan.
In the twilight Buckingham fountain comes to life. After sunset, head to the park for a spectacular light and music show every hour. If you’re there during the day, don’t miss the hourly 20-minute water show, in which the fountain’s central jet shoots water 40 meters into the air. The fountain operates from May to mid-October.

These fountains are a very popular spot in the Catalan capital thanks to the exhibition of music, light and color. Around them, locals and guests gather to enjoy the hypnotic performance of water choreography.
Located between the National Palau and Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, the fountain was built for the 1929 World’s Fair by engineer Carles Buigas. It wasn’t until the 1980s that music was added.
In recent years, the fountain has gone green by replacing its classic lighting with LED lighting and incorporating the use of phreatic water.
Since its discovery Singing Fountains have become a symbol of Barcelona, which illuminates the capital of Catalonia with its lights and jets of water dancing to the rhythm of the music during the most important events celebrated there.
