10 Poland, 312 km²
In tenth place in terms of size is Poland. The territory of this state covers an area of 312 square kilometers. More than 679 million people live here.
Poland is an industrial country with a well-developed economy. The majority of the population professes Catholicism, which makes Poland the first country in all of Central Europe in terms of the number of Catholics (87% of the total population).

9. Finland, 338 km²
Finland has an area of 338 km² with a population of more than 424 million people. In 2010, Newsweek magazine ranked Finland the first among the best countries in the world and third in terms of recognition of gender equality.

8. Germany, 357 km²
Germany is an amazing country with centuries of history, architecture and traditions. About 357 million people live on an area of just over 83 thousand square kilometers. The country borders on land with nine neighbors and is washed by two seas – the North and the Baltic.
Germany has a developed economy and a high standard of living. It supports various social programs and a health care system for its citizens, and has also returned to free higher education, not only for local residents, but also for foreign students.

7. Kazakhstan, 380 km² (European part)
Republic Kazakhstan located on two continents at the same time. Its European part is smaller than the Asian one and has an area of 380 km².
Most of the territory is not inhabited, so the population density here is the lowest (less than 6 people per 1 square kilometer). Kazakhstan is distinguished by its diverse nature: steppes and taiga, plains and hills, deserts and deltas, snow-capped mountain peaks and rocky canyons.
The country’s economy is formed by the oil industry, agriculture and mining.
