Most often, conditionally prohibited acts are divided into two types: large and small. The punishment for major misdeeds can be very severe, up to and including going to Hell. We will take a closer look at the 10 biggest sins in Islam, some of which are also found in Orthodoxy.
10 Suicide
The Creator forbade Muslims not only to commit crimes against others, but also against themselves as well. Islam aims to support a person in difficult moments of his life. Therefore, you need to lend a helping hand to those who need it and take the problems of loved ones seriously. After all, this can lead to irreversible consequences.
This is a test that must be overcome, and not give up. A person must sincerely believe and endure the burden, hoping for the mercy of the Almighty.
Suicide It is considered a terrible sin also because a person has no right to take the life that Allah has given him. In addition, suicide also shows that a person is desperate and does not believe that God is with him and can help in the most difficult moment.
9. Loss of hope for forgiveness and redemption of sins
Loss of hope it means sadness. Such a sin is one of the most serious, because it means disbelief in the love of the Most High. A person should always hope and believe that they will have mercy on him, that the Creator will be merciful to him.
Awareness of one’s sins is as important as unshakable faith in the mercy of Allah. It is possible to doubt oneself, but to doubt the mercy of the Almighty is unacceptable.
8. Adultery, homosexuality, perjury
К adultery includes any intimate act not directed at the spouse. This refers not only to sexual intercourse, but also kisses and even hugs. The Creator instructs not to approach this abomination and not to follow a bad path.

A faithful Muslim not only should not be caught in this act, but also has no right to give reasons for such judgments about himself. A man should look like a man, not allowing himself to wear women’s clothes, cosmetics and manners.
Perjury referred to the same severity, but there are exceptions. Lies can be told for good purposes.
7. Slander
You need to save your tongue from everything bad. Do not speak evil to people, but only good, in order to bear an honest account before Allah. When a person speaks evil, he gives away his good deeds and takes away the sins of the one about whom he speaks badly.
Slander – the lowest deed, it burns all good deeds. The one who listens to the scammer is also making a big mistake. You must always seek only the truth. All actions that are aimed at the destruction of the family are considered a grave sin. It is also necessary not to allow slander in relation to other people, and even more so to believers.
6. Committing unlawful acts within Makkah
This place means a lot to Muslims. Here, believers think about the greatness of the Most High Creator, about the frailty of the world, and pray for the forgiveness of sins. Doing illegal things is a huge sin.. Thus, you express disrespect and offend the Almighty.

4. Flight from the battlefield
Among the many great sins, another one is mentioned – flight from the battlefield. This refers to the flight on the day of the offensive from the ranks of the Islamic army.
This sin is fraught with great evil. This leads to the fact that the unbelievers will be strengthened, and those who attack will see how Muslims run away from them and perk up. The only exception is the moment of a turn, the purpose of which is to move to another formation or detachment.
Also separately considered is the situation when a warrior just needs to rest or clean his weapon. But in other cases, it is impossible to evade or turn away in any case.
A Muslim must fight to the end and always be an example for his loved ones, comrades in arms and co-religionists. After all, flight from the battlefield is equated with cowardice, cowardice. But a Muslim must make the maximum amount of effort in order to avoid committing this act. You cannot take away what does not belong to you, and the life of any person is given by the Almighty and only he has the right to dispose of it.
1. Polytheism, idolatry
God is one and this is the law and the truth, which should not be questioned for a second. There is nothing more terrible and lower than betrayal. And serving several gods at once, and even more so the worship of a pagan idol, in Islam, and not only in it, is considered its most direct manifestation.
Every devout Muslim never for a second dares to doubt the truth of his faith.. This sin has two degrees of severity: minor and major. Lesser comes down to an oath not in the name of Allah and the performance of actions to please people first of all, and not God. The big one threatens with excommunication from Islam and consists in worshiping someone other than the Almighty.
