Today, Interregional Medical Center for Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Oncological Diseases LLC (MMCRDiLOZ) provides radiation therapy services using new approaches to cancer treatment, in particular, such as tomotherapy.
The chief physician of “MMCRDiLOZ” Tolstykh Larisa Vladimirovna answers the questions.
Tomotherapy is a single complex solution to the problems of irradiation of large and small, single or multiple tumor foci in one or several places of the patient’s body at the same time. It should be noted that for extended tumors, tomotherapy is the only non-alternative treatment option. In addition, it can be prescribed to all patients for whom conventional radiation treatment is indicated.
All types of cancer treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy) are inevitably associated with unwanted effects on the body. However, all innovations in cancer treatment are aimed at minimizing such impacts. With the help of our equipment, it is possible to irradiate only the tumor with the highest precision, without affecting healthy tissues. Thanks to this service, there is now no need to interrupt radiation therapy to eliminate complications from the treatment itself. Now the treatment can take place without interruption during the entire course.
Indeed, there is only one such complex for the treatment of adult patients in Russia, while there are more than 200 of them in the USA, but it is, of course, possible to get treatment at MMCRDiLOZ. There are two ways: a patient can routinely receive treatment for free within the framework of quotas, subject to their allocation by local budgets, and the patient can also receive treatment for a fee. The cost of treatment at MMCRDiLOZ is much lower than abroad. This was achieved thanks to the purposeful pursuit of the availability of medical services. Additional so-called “services” are not imposed on patients. The cost of treatment is “transparent”. It should not be forgotten that for treatment abroad, in addition to the actual treatment, patients need to additionally plan the costs of obtaining a visa, travel to the place of treatment, accommodation and meals.
Patients who have undergone this treatment on our equipment immediately notice the benefits, because they do not need hospitalization in a hospital, they do not experience the hardships of conventional radiation treatment, the treatment process is not accompanied by any painful sensations, and therefore they do not have to change their daily rhythm life.
Radiologists of the center conduct face-to-face and correspondence consultations of patients by phone 8-473-200-22-33 (multichannel).
