Tomatoes Lyubasha F1

The soul and heart of any gardener strives to plant the earliest varieties among other garden crops, so as to get satisfaction from their work as early as possible. The taste and yield characteristics of the variety are no longer so important – the main thing is that it ripens before anyone else. That is why super-early tomato varieties are so popular – some of them, when planted early in greenhouses, can be harvested as early as June.

And in this shelf of early tomatoes there is an addition – just a year ago, the Lyubasha tomato variety appeared and has already managed to attract attention with its numerous advantages. Actually, Lyubasha is not a tomato variety at all, but a hybrid, but many gardeners are quite happy with the situation of buying fresh seeds every year in a store, which is why they do not strive to grow varieties. But Lyubasha is unique, because it has qualities and characteristics that are not at all characteristic of either hybrids or early tomatoes. But now about everything in order.

Description of the features of the hybrid

Breeders of the agricultural company “Partner” in 2016 received a new hybrid of tomatoes – Lyubasha F1. In 2017, the hybrid was officially included in the State Register with a recommendation for cultivation in all regions of Our Country both in open and protected ground.

Lyubasha tomato plants are determinant, that is, the growth of the bush is limited when it reaches one meter in height.

Attention! Despite the fact that the tomato bushes can be classified as medium-sized, they need a mandatory garter to supports and pinching.

Lyubasha tomato plants are equally well adapted to growth and fruit set both in open ground and in greenhouses, but in protected ground the yield will be somewhat larger.

The bushes have a fairly compact, oval shape, the stems have an average number of small, bright green leaves.

To obtain optimal yield, it is recommended to form Lyubasha tomato bushes in 2-3 stems, depending on the planting density. If you plant no more than 4 plants per square meter, then it is possible to form 3 stems, for which one stepson is left under the first flower brush and another growing above the same brush.

In the case of a closer planting, it is better to leave only 2 stems on the Lyubasha bushes – the main and auxiliary under the first flower brush. Be sure to remove all other side shoots as they form.

Comment! The first inflorescence of the Lyubasha hybrid is usually laid above the 5-6th leaf. It is simple, it ripens an average of 7-8 fruits.

The Lyubasha hybrid stands out with an interesting feature – some plants are able to form as many as two peduncles in one internode, and each of them will have full-fledged fruits in each brush. And this fact in no way distracts the formation of fruit clusters in the following internodes.

In terms of ripening, as already mentioned, the Lyubasha tomato is not just an early-ripening tomato, but even an ultra-early one. Since the first mature fruits can be obtained already 65-75 days after germination. Usually, early varieties of tomatoes are not particularly productive, gardeners are quite satisfied with the very appearance of the first tomatoes. But the Lyubasha F1 tomato is also distinguished by its amazing yield characteristics. The description of the hybrid indicates that the yield of marketable fruits is about 20 kg per square meter. This means that on average, 4-5 kg of selected tomatoes can be harvested from one bush.

As for resistance to major diseases, this is not surprising – hybrids in general, and Lyubasha, in particular, are resistant to adverse growth factors, including the main diseases characteristic of tomatoes.

Important! Lyubasha tomatoes are resistant to blossom end rot, and quite tolerant to alternariosis, late blight and TMV.

Fruit Characteristics

The shape of Lyubasha tomatoes is mostly rounded with small folds in the stalk area, slightly flattened. In the immature form, the fruits have a light green color, in the ripening stage – bright red.

Tomatoes have a very nice appearance – dense, with a smooth skin, fleshy flesh with a pinkish tint. The fruits are not prone to cracking even in rainy and cold weather. There are not very many seeds in the fruits, the number of seed nests is 3-4.

Tomatoes ripen quite amicably and gain weight on average 120-150 grams. Due to its convenient size, the fruits are suitable both for fresh consumption in salads and for whole preservation. Although their purpose is truly universal – Lyubasha tomatoes make delicious tomato juice, they can serve as a delicacy in pickling form and they make incomparable sun-dried tomatoes.

The taste characteristics of tomatoes are amazing – experts rate them excellently, which is a rarity for both hybrids and early tomatoes. In addition, due to the rather dense skin, Lyubasha tomatoes are well stored and are quite capable of enduring long-term transportation.

Peculiarities of growing

Despite early ripeness, in most regions of Our Country, it is desirable to grow the Lyubasha hybrid through seedlings. Seeds can be sown directly into the ground only in the southern regions. For seedlings, the seeds are sown approximately 50 days before the expected planting dates in the greenhouse or in a permanent place in the garden.

Seedlings of Lyubasha usually look pretty strong. When she has two or three true leaves, it is advisable to feed her with some natural organic fertilizer. Although, if you planted plants in a humus-rich mixture during picking, then no additional top dressing is required before planting in the ground.

One square meter can accommodate from 4 to 6 tomato bushes. Despite the small height of the bushes, it is still better to tie them to supports, because due to the large load of the crop, the tomatoes risk being on the ground. The stems themselves grow quite thick and are often even thicker than the stakes to which they are tied.

Advice! Microbiological preparations can be used as preventive measures against possible diseases: glyocladin tablets are placed one at a time in each well when the bushes are planted in a permanent place.

During the entire growing season, you can feed the tomato bushes several more times – spray them with a solution of wood ash or EM preparations.

In the future, Lyubasha tomato plants are cared for in a standard way – watering, loosening or mulching, removal of weeds, and, of course, harvesting.

Testimonials from truck drivers

Tomatoes Lyubasha F1

Since the Lyubasha hybrid appeared on the market quite recently – almost a year ago, there are not so many reviews on it yet. But even those that are, give hope that this tomato is very promising and reliable for planting in the most unpredictable conditions.

Alena, 38 years old, Orel
We read about the emergence of a new hybrid and decided, together with friends, to purchase seeds of different varieties, including Lyubasha. The weather this year was not tomato-like at all – cold, rainy, and then the heat came on. But, interestingly, almost all the bushes were affected by phytophthora, only Lyubasha survived. True, we all processed Em-kami, so our tomatoes still ripened and other varieties too, but all the same, Lyubasha impressed with her durability, productivity, and taste. We made so many yummy things from tomatoes for the winter – now we will remember about it in the winter. The only pity is that she is a hybrid, it is useless to leave her for seeds, anyway, nothing good will grow.
Victor, 44 years old Tambov
I bought seeds in a store and the sellers advised me to try a new tomato variety that ripens the earliest. I have a large greenhouse, but I decided to divide the grown seedlings and planted 10 bushes under polycarbonate and 10 bushes in open ground. At first, the bushes developed very well, but then I had to leave for a couple of weeks and all this time it rained in an endless stream. By our arrival, all the tomato bushes in the open field turned black from phytophthora. But we still decided to try to cure them with the help of EM drugs. Part of the crop was saved, but the difference was big. In the greenhouse, almost five kilograms of wonderful, delicious tomatoes were collected from each bush. Well, there was still a crop in the beds, but half as much and several weeks later. Despite the fact that instead of top dressing, he only planted them initially in humus-rich soil and that’s it.

Conclusion
