Gender differences persist online, researchers from the Pew Internet & American Life Project have confirmed.
As expected, men are more likely to connect to the Internet. They spend more time on the Web, read a lot, collect information more actively, and are more willing to use the latest technologies. Women, on the other hand, use e-mail with particular enthusiasm. The Internet for them is a valuable opportunity to maintain relationships with many people and communicate on a variety of topics.
Men, if they write emails, are concise and to the point. We are all equally active in online shopping. However, men are more likely to transact online, participate in auctions, buy securities and pay bills.
