To kindergarten at 2 years old: when is it better to send a child, adaptation
The child needs communication with peers in order for him to form a correct idea of the outside world. Moreover, each baby has its own temperament. Therefore, parents must independently decide when they can take their child to kindergarten: at 2 years old or later. He must be psychologically prepared for this.
Not all children can immediately get used to kindergarten. They are used to the home environment. Mom is always there, there is nothing to be afraid of. They had a certain notion about the world around them: people in it are kind, and are always ready to help. The child felt comfortable in any situation. Everything “revolved around him.”
In kindergarten, at 2 years old, the child will learn how to behave in society.
A child’s outlook changes dramatically when he comes to kindergarten. Peers, educators, nannies and other employees of the children’s institution appear in his social circle. There is no mother nearby who will hug him if he is scared.
If the child is shy or shy, it will be difficult for him to make contact. Even the most attentive teacher will not persuade him to meet other children. The child will begin to close off from the outside world, will be capricious, call his mother.
To avoid this, you need to follow several recommendations:
- Teach your child to get to know other children. In this, mom should set an example.
- Try to arrange community games on the playground in groups of up to 5 people.
- Send the baby to a development center where the groups are organized by age. There, the child will acquire basic communication skills with peers.
These are the simplest actions that parents can perform to make their child feel comfortable in the world around him.
When is it better to send a child to kindergarten
In preschool institutions, groups are divided by age. Children under 3 years old attend a nursery, where the child learns to communicate with peers and forms his view of this or that situation.
In kindergarten, the child will learn the following:
- eat on the correct schedule;
- defend your opinion;
- interact with other children;
- clean up your toys.
As a rule, at the age of two, babies still wear diapers. Parents teach them to potty, but this is given with difficulty. In kindergarten, a child will learn to potty much faster than at home.
The group teacher knows when it is time for the child to go to the toilet. He simply won’t have the opportunity to ruin the diaper. The child looks at other children and repeats their actions. He learns to dress and put on shoes, to speak correctly, to communicate. Respect for elders is instilled in him, informative stories are told.
Disadvantages of going to kindergarten
The microclimate in a preschool institution is not suitable for all children. Some people get sick often. Others, on the contrary, walk constantly. It depends on the child’s immunity. In a group, his body is attacked by a large number of bacteria. And not all of them are useful. As a result, the baby develops immunity to viral diseases. It is necessary to sound the alarm if a simple viral disease becomes chronic. In this case, there will be a question about the ban on visiting the kindergarten.
Before you send your child to kindergarten, you need to prepare him.
If the group educator does not have sufficient experience, the child may be bullied by older children. He will not be able to cope with such conflict situations, he will constantly ask to go home.
It is up to each parent to decide whether or not to send a two-year-old child to a preschool institution. The sooner the baby starts attending the group, the sooner he will get used to society, learn to behave with other children. The adaptation period will pass quickly and easily, and mom and dad will be able to go about their business in the free time that appears.
