A generous feast with an abundance of alcoholic drinks in a noisy company – this is how most of us imagine a holiday. But the consequences of such fun are not the most pleasant. For a long time, I learned to recover quickly and I know a few secrets on how to get rid of an unpleasant smell after a feast.
Heavy meal
The best remedy is a hearty breakfast. Or lunch. It all depends on what time you wake up.
A plentiful meal will give energy to the body, make up for the lack of nutrients, invigorate and relieve unpleasant odors. Even if I don’t feel like eating, I literally force myself and soon I feel much better.
For example, I like to “treat” with hot soup. Chicken rich broth with carrots and noodles quickly sets you on your feet.
In addition, it is important to remember that the smell of decaying products comes out not only through the mouth, but also through the pores. Therefore, after sweating after a hot soup and taking a shower, you can easily get rid of the consequences of a stormy evening.

I also often save a large amount of liquid, but it is better to avoid carbonated drinks.
This method will allow you to quickly remove the aldehyde contained in alcohol from the body through urine, which means that it will sooner relieve it of toxic decay products.
I usually drink up to two liters of liquid. Moreover, it includes mineral water, strong green tea, fruit drink, and boiled water with lemon and honey.
The main thing is to drink a sufficient amount so that the genitourinary system quickly removes toxins from the body.
Spices
Fragrant herbs contain a lot of essential oils, so they will help freshen your breath after a wild party. I use dill, parsley, cilantro or mint.
Do not spare the greenery: one branch usually does not solve the problem. The celery helps too. For me, it is not only an assistant in getting rid of the smell, but also a source of vitamins that the body needs in the morning after a feast.
You can also chew dried cloves, parsley, or make an infusion of basil and mint.
Saline
A solution of one teaspoon of salt in a glass of water helps a lot. Poor health is due to the washing out of sodium, magnesium and potassium, so they need to be replenished first.
The brine, so popular in our country at the time of a hangover, is the saline solution, with the help of which the necessary microelements enter the body, after which relief immediately comes.
If there is no brine at hand or there is no desire to drink it at all, a solution of salt and water is perfect. I won’t say that it is very pleasant, but it is effective for sure!
Fresh air
Fresh air and a little activity are also great helpers in this difficult task.
I arrange myself a half-hour walk or breathing exercises on the street. Intense inhalations and exhalations for 10 minutes make hyperventilation of the lungs. As a result, the blood is saturated with oxygen, after which you feel much lighter.
Coffee and citrus
An excellent way to neutralize the smell of “fume” is to chew coffee. Only we are not talking about a drink, but about the grains themselves. They have a large amount of essential oils, so they can easily cope with any amber.
Citruses are also no less effective. For example, a mandarin peel will help not only hide the smell from others, but also save you yourself from an unpleasant aftertaste in your mouth.
