In the article “The Outcast Child in the Classroom (Tips for Teachers and Parents)”, a question was asked in the comments, aka a request for help:
«Help me please. I am 11 years old. My name is Polina. I study in the 5th grade. From 1st grade to 5th grade — an outcast. What do I need to do?»
I’ll take the risk and try to help.
Hello Polina! I was bullied at school too. You can endure it, but it is better to at least try to change something.
You ask for advice — I will give you advice, but they must be followed. They are not all simple — but your position is difficult. No matter how hard it is for you, even so — so at least try to do something! Will you try?
Keep in mind, these tips are good, effective. Verified! Do them. Not immediately, but they will help you.
- When you’re not at school, when they don’t «get you» — learn to smile. Smile! Become the sun.
- See to it that you are always neat. They will tease anyway, but do not give unnecessary reasons.
- In class, learn to walk faster, more confidently, with deployed shoulders (do not slouch) and without lowering your head. Speak louder. Yes, it is dangerous, the strong — whoever notices — will stop it, but a part will not notice, and this will begin to raise your status.
- Make friends in class. At least with someone, at least with the same as you — but be friends. Because you need to learn how to be friends and because if you have more friends, you will become more status.
- Think about whether you can establish a good relationship with one of the teachers? You can also be friends with the teacher. And when at least in his lessons you will be protected, you will be treated better!
- When you become more status, start to stop disrespect for yourself from the weak. A strong man calls you — keep silent. He calls the weak — bark at him, because he is not allowed! They will try to push you — and your friends will protect you. You will soon notice that you will be respected more.
- And think about what you can do well — and even very well. Are you good at reading poetry? Draw? Understand geometry? Run the fastest? Something else? This will greatly help you win a worthy place in the classroom and, more broadly, in your life.
