Tincture on figs: 5 recipes at home

Most often, wines and liqueurs are made from fig fruits, but homemade tincture of figs with vodka or diluted alcohol is also good. For its preparation, fruit is used in any form: dried, dried, fresh. The main thing is that the fruits do not have signs of spoilage. Dried fruits are pre-soaked in boiling water.

Tips before starting

  1. If you plan to tincture on figs on moonshine, then they take well-purified alcohol, optimally – double distillation.

  2. Cognac is also suitable as an alcoholic base: it will bring pleasant oak tones to the drink.

  3. You can flavor the drink with any spices to your taste: ginger, cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, etc.

  4. The level of sweetness and strength is regulated by increasing / decreasing the amount of sugar and diluting the infusion with water.

Spicy fig tincture recipe

Sugar is optionally replaced with honey, the composition of spices can also be adjusted.

Ingredients

  1. Vodka – ½ l

  2. Fig fruits – 4-5 pcs.

  3. Ginger root – 20 g

  4. Carnation – 1 pcs.

  5. Sugar – 0,1-0,2 kg

Method of preparation

  1. Fruit and pre-peeled ginger cut into cubes.

  2. Put the fruit-spicy mass in a glass container, throw a clove into it.

  3. Pour the mixture with alcohol, seal the vessel.

  4. Let the drink brew in a warm place for about 10 days, shaking occasionally.

  5. Strain the infusion through a gauze flap, squeeze out the pulp.

  6. Sweeten with sugar to your taste.

  7. Keep the tincture for at least 3-4 days in a cool place.

  8. Store the finished product in the dark for no more than 3 years.

Fig tincture “Popular”

Honey can be replaced with sugar syrup: for this, 50–100 g of sugar are dissolved in the same amount of water. The drink will be less strong.

Ingredients

  1. Fresh figs – 200-250 g

  2. Dried figs – 200 g

  3. Vodka / alcohol – ½ l

  4. Honey – 2 Art. l

Method of preparation

  1. Pour dried fruits with a small amount of water, boil the liquid, let stand for 5-10 minutes, drain the water.

  2. Finely chop soaked and fresh figs, soak in vodka, close the vessel tightly.

  3. Let the liquid brew in a cool dark corner for 15–20 days, shaking the container from time to time.

  4. Strain and filter the drink, sweeten with honey.

Fig tincture “Fragrant”

The product is especially good in cocktails with fruit juices and carbonated drinks. Vanilla can also be used in the form of sugar (10–15 g). Exposure is tincture only for the benefit, but it can be stored for no more than 1 year.

Ingredients

  1. Cognac / rum – 1 l

  2. Figs – ½ kg

  3. Vanilla – 2 pods

  4. Cardamom – 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation

  1. Coarsely chop fruits and vanilla pods, pour into a glass container.

  2. Season the mass with cardamom, pour alcohol.

  3. Transfer the sealed vessel to darkness and coolness, leave for 1-2 weeks.

  4. Pass the infusion through the filter, keep in the cold.

Fig leaf tincture

Drinks are made not only from fig fruits, but also from the young foliage of the tree. This option tastes best with ice.

Ingredients

  1. Fig leaves – 40 pcs.

  2. Gin – 2 l

  3. Water – 1 L

  4. Powdered sugar – 1 kg

Method of preparation

  1. Wash the leaves well and dry.

  2. Divide the green mass into 3 parts, put 2 of them in a jar, soak in gin, leave for 1 day in the dark and cool.

  3. Drain the gin into a clean container, filter, discard the used leaves.

  4. Dilute the infusion with half the water.

  5. Heat the second half of the water, without boiling, combine with powder.

  6. Pour a little sweet syrup into the remaining fresh foliage, grind the mass with a blender.

  7. Pour the resulting slurry with the remaining syrup and let stand for 10-12 hours.

  8. Strain the soaked liquid through cheesecloth, heat, wait for cooling and mix with alcohol infusion.

  9. Mix well, send for 2 weeks in a cool dark corner, try.

Fig tincture with red wine

The drink is served as an aperitif, adding lemon, soda, ice cubes.

Ingredients

  1. Fig fruits – 0,4 kg

  2. Dry orange peel – 1 strip

  3. Vanilla sugar – 10 g

  4. Black peppercorns – 1 tbsp. l.

  5. Coriander – 2 tbsp.

  6. Strong red wine – 1 bottle

Method of preparation

  1. Cut figs into large chunks, put in a glass vessel.

  2. Throw orange zest and spices to the fruit mass.

  3. Pour the mixture with fortified wine, carefully seal the container, put it in a cool place for 1-2 months.

  4. Pass the infusion through a sieve, pour into a clean bottle. You can taste.
