The house was built recently, a couple of years ago, and as soon as it was commissioned, I bought a house in it. This is my first apartment, and I hope it won’t be the last. I didn’t save, I don’t know how to do it, I just made money on it. I liked the area because of its convenient location, close to the Water Stadium, a park with a nature trail where you can run, and generally not far from work. I chose the highest twenty-sixth floor because of the beautiful panorama: on one side, the windows overlook the reservoir, on the other, to the Sheremetyevo airport. That is, everything I love – water and airplanes.

Initially, it was a space without anything, even without walls. The project was made from scratch by a designer, and then I came across a good foreman, he helped to implement everything. I planned that by the time I buy an apartment, I will already have a wife or a constant friend who will take care of the interior, because I myself do not like to go to these shops and choose everything. But it so happened that I had just met the girl, and therefore all these matters fell on the shoulders of the foreman. Moreover, it was not I who urged him, but he me. He called and said: “Timur, today we are going for plumbing” – and carried it everywhere. So if not for Volodya, by the way, hello to him, then it is not known when I would have completed this repair. He practically forced me to participate, and in three months the empty site turned into what it is now. True, we have embodied the ideas of the designer only sixty percent. The result is still different from the original picture, because from time to time there were some difficulties. In the course of the repair, we ourselves came up with some details, for example, we made a brick wall opposite the bar counter, although initially only the counter was supposed to be made of brick.

I made bar stools and tables to order, because I could not find anything in the stores to please. I wanted a ceiling of two levels, because I like it when there are a lot of different light at home and it can be adjusted to suit the mood. There are so many switches now that I myself get confused in them. The kitchen is quite spacious, the hostess will have a place to turn around. And I rarely cook myself, only if guests come. It’s not interesting to do this for yourself. But I don’t have a bath – I never wanted to have a bath, so I put in a spacious shower. I think when you don’t know what to do with the interior, hang up a mirror. It adds volume to the room. This is what I did with the corridor.

I live here with Sonya the cat. She has been with me for ten years, if not more. Once upon a time I was given a kitten for my birthday, and initially his name was Meeks, because I wanted a cat. But on the very first visit to the veterinarian, it turned out that Meeks was a girl, and she became Sonya. We are still together. Women come and go, but Sonya remains. She doesn’t like a lot of guests, but she likes it when girls come. Not indifferent to them. Many people turn an apartment of this size into a three-room apartment, but I originally wanted one room to be large enough and spacious, so the kitchen is combined with the living room. If we get together with friends, we occupy the entire space, but nevertheless the feeling of air remains, there is no need to be crowded. Another room was assigned to a bedroom with a built-in dressing room. I chose the color of the walls myself, I love pastel colors. Since I have a specific work schedule for Good Morning, the curtains are dark here, I think they should be strengthened so that the light does not penetrate at all, because I often have to sleep during the day, after the broadcast.

And the dressing room was a necessity. I have a lot of things, not only my own, but also those in which I conduct the program, plus a collection of sneakers. As a child, they were my sore subject. I played basketball, and sometimes my sneakers were so rubbed that I even felt the asphalt in them. They were all alone, their parents could not afford to constantly buy new ones. So when I grew up, I told myself that in the future I will have a lot of sneakers. I don’t count how many there are, but they are constantly being added. There are even special running shoes in the collection with my name and surname. The amount of clothing has already reached critical mass. I give things to my younger brother, to people in need, I take them to some charity events, but they all accumulate and are already choking me.

There are things that reflect my inner world. For my last birthday, friends gave me a turntable that I have wanted for a long time. An ex-girlfriend brought Stevie Wonder’s record from London. The bandage and gloves symbolize my long hobby for boxing, and the T-shirt symbolizes my running. In November I am going to run a 42-kilometer marathon, I am mentally preparing for this. The heart rate monitor and special watch for triathlon also belong to this sport. And Irwin Shaw’s book is one of the last I read. He was fond of boxing for a long time, even participated in competitions. Now I have moved to the rank of organizer, we have our own production (manufacturing company – note “Antenna”) of sports shows and events. Murat Gassiev (on a T-shirt) is my favorite fighter, we were co-organizers of the semifinals and finals of the World Boxing Series.

A few years ago, it happened by chance that I started collecting watches. This is a rather expensive hobby. The very first I bought in Marseille, when I was still working on the MUZ-TV channel in the Ideal Proposal program. Everything that I earned on this project, and even a little more, I spent on them. I have watches in my collection that are associated with various memories, for example, gifts from friends for a birthday, for surfing, they are associated with Bali, for running.
