How to choose a mask for skin elasticity
When choosing components for a homemade mask, it is worth considering age, skin type and existing problems.
In order not to make a mistake with the choice of a tightening face mask, it is important to consider certain factors.
If you are 25-30 years old, do not rush. Young skin has enough resources to recover, and it does not particularly need a lifting mask. Care should be focused on moisturizing, combating premature aging, skin nutrition.
Choose masks with a wide range of effects.
If the problem concerns only a certain area of the face (eyelids, oval), try to choose a mask with suitable properties.
Skin mask ingredients
One of the means of preventing aging is cosmetics that protect the skin from external aggression and reduce the load on its own defense systems.
What ingredients should be present in cosmetic masks for skin elasticity?
Natural Moisturizing Factor Ingredients: lactic acid, urea, amino acids.
Lipitor, which are part of the sebum and intercellular lipid layers of the stratum corneum.
Retinol (vitamin A) and its esters – to renew the epidermis.
Vitamins E, C – to protect the skin.
Herbal ingredients – aloe, sea buckthorn, ginseng, eleutherococcus, unicellular algae. The active substances they contain solve several problems at once, from moisturizing to protection from the negative effects of the environment.
How to use masks at home
Skin care should be systemic, and masks play an important role in this system. As a rule, masks to combat age-related skin changes are made no more than 2-3 times a week.
But if you want to achieve a noticeable effect in a short time, you can conduct a course of 7-10 masks, applying them daily.
We give general recommendations for the use of masks.
The best time for the procedure is the evening hours from 19.00 to 22.00.
The mask is applied to thoroughly cleansed and slightly steamed facial skin.
- Before making a mask, it is recommended to use a scrub for deeper cleansing.
Usually the mask is applied, avoiding the area around the eyes, but you should not forget about the neck and décolleté.
After applying the mask, you can first use a serum or booster, and then apply a tightening cream.
Night masks are applied to cleansed skin for 10-15 minutes, after which the excess is blotted with a napkin. These products do not require rinsing, which is their main convenience.
Homemade masks vs ready-made products
Homemade masks are a pleasure to use.
Now many women prefer to make their own masks from improvised means, using the so-called folk recipes. The idea is not bad, but still it is worth remembering that you should not expect a wow effect from homemade masks. If you don’t really hope for it, here are some recipes for home creativity.

Contraindications when using masks for skin elasticity are common to all masks.
Before using a mask, especially a self-prepared one, we recommend checking the composition for individual tolerance.
Choose only fresh, quality products for cooking.
Try to use the mask immediately – storage of freshly prepared products and their use in the following days is strongly discouraged.
