To the extent that we can say that there are “good cancers”, thyroid cancer is one of them. Indeed, it is a rather rare cancer, detected very often at an early stage. The treatment of papillary cancer, the most common type (80% of cases), is relatively simple and very effective. The prognosis is therefore excellent. Do not hesitate to consult your doctor if you have a palpable or visible lump on the front of the neck, or other symptoms, such as a hoarse voice and difficulty swallowing, especially since it is necessary to first establish a correct diagnosis, these symptoms may be caused by another disease.
