Thromboembolic disorders are disease states that are expressed by a coagulation disorder of the thromboembolic type (and therefore hypercoagulability) in the vascular bed. They appear in the course of various ailments, e.g. deep vein thrombosis or pancreatitis.

What are thromboembolic disorders?

Thromboembolic disorders are ailments manifested by coagulation disorders, and more specifically hypercoagulability in the vascular bed. They often have a varied cause and development mechanism.

This ailment coexists in many different disease states, such as:

  1. inflammation of the pancreas,
  2. deep vein thrombosis,
  3. infections of various origins,
  4. complications after pregnancy and childbirth,
  5. cancers,
  6. ailments of the hematopoietic system,
  7. diseases of blood vessels and heart,
  8. extensive tissue damage,
  9. liver disease
  10. some snake bites,
  11. udary.
