Three steps to fulfill your dream

We dream of many things, but our desires are so rarely fulfilled! For this to happen, you need to learn to listen to your body, live in the moment and take small steps. We tell you exactly how to proceed.

Be in tune with feelings, thoughts and actions

Try asking yourself two universal questions more often:

  • What do I feel now?
  • What do I really want?

The first question helps to focus on ourselves, and the second allows us to realize what step we need to take.

One woman wanted to go home after a busy day with her children. But she was embarrassed to refuse the offer of friends, so in the evening she went to their country house. Moreover, she volunteered to go on a scooter to the store for a cake. Because of the whole situation, it seemed to her that she was literally “torn apart”. And three minutes later she fell off the scooter.

Why did it happen? It’s simple: when we don’t listen to ourselves, the body has to express our repressed feelings. Ignoring the need for rest, the woman began to “torn” between her own desires and the desires of her friends. The result is a torn meniscus. So, if we feel tired and want to go home, then we need to go home.

If we learn to hear ourselves in ordinary life situations, learn to follow what we really want, then there will be no problems with more global issues. We will learn to listen to ourselves and act accordingly. The unity of feelings, thoughts and actions works wonders.

Talk to the body

The body is a great tool for awareness of feelings. If our decisions are out of sync with our inner voice, we may feel tightness, tension, and pain. For example, you suddenly have a headache. Try to track when she got sick, under what circumstances? Perhaps the pain pushes you to some thought or action.

So, one girl every day experienced severe headaches when she came to work. And this pain said that it was time for her to change something. The girl worked as a teacher and had long dreamed of freelancing, but did not dare to change – she was afraid to go on a free voyage as a tutor.

It was the pain that made her realize how much she dislikes this job. The girl quit, soon she had many students. She began to work less, and to receive pleasure and money – much more. And the headache immediately went away.

Another woman had a similar experience, only her legs were taken away. She intuitively guessed that for a long time she had been forcing herself to go to an unloved job in a curtain salon. She eventually quit her job and started doing her art project, which she had long dreamed of. And within a month, the pain in my legs went away, as if it had never existed.

The body speaks to us. But we can also talk to the body. Imagine that it is magical and knows the answers to all questions. Before going to bed, put your hand on your heart, ask it a question and listen to what it will answer – even if it is a subtle impulse.

Take the first step

Many of us are not accustomed to acting in the moment. The mind throws up dozens of reasons why something might not work out: it is dangerous, expensive, it will take too long … Meanwhile, following true desires can lead to such a development of events that we could not even dream of. Therefore, it is worth taking the first step, and not waiting for ideal conditions – they may never come.

One man dreamed of flying a helicopter, but did not have enough money to learn how to pilot it. He hesitated for a long time, but took the first step after the question “Why don’t you take one lesson to start?”. And he gave the man so much energy that there were funds for the second lesson, then for the third … As a result, he became a pilot. And also made new friends and business partners.

It was this illogical step, motivated by a spiritual impulse, that brought the man to a new material, social and spiritual level, as he found like-minded people and began to earn more. But we must understand: what will bring one person to a new level of life, for another, may turn out to be an empty undertaking.

For one, the first step is a piloting lesson, for another, an inspiring book, for a third, a dance lesson, for a fourth, morning meditation or prayer… This is always what feeds our soul. Perhaps it is still worth taking this small step? And then look at the response within yourself, suddenly you like it. Until we try, we won’t know.
