Three ideas for a small kitchen

The designer started by changing the color of the room. The walls have acquired a sunny pinkish-terracotta shade, close to the color of beech wood. Wooden blinds are matched to them. The furniture facades remain neutral white.

Hanging cabinets and shelves are placed on long walls, opposite each other. This has increased the overall storage space for small kitchen items. The main planning trump card is a single tabletop in the shape of the letter “P”, made of glued wooden board. It is located in the most functionally loaded part of the kitchen and covers the work area and windowsill. One element of the table top – round – serves as a small table. You cannot seat guests behind it, but it is quite possible to have breakfast together. And since the height of the kitchen cabinets and the windowsill are higher than the standard dining table, it would be rather low to sit on a regular chair. Therefore, we purchased a pair of trendy bar stools with an adjustable leg. Above the working part of the worktop, metal rails with many hooks and shelves were fixed, which makes the kitchen even more ergonomic and practical.

Green World

What color to choose for kitchen decoration? Blue-blue shades, they say, do not promote digestion, red is too tiring, but green is just right. True, in this kitchen it is used somewhat unusually. In the sense that it was not the walls that turned green, as everyone was used to, but the laminated floor and ceiling. It is complemented by bright green lambrequins on the windows and, of course, potted flowers. Also green.

Another atypical element in this kitchen is a folding table. The rest of the furnishings are not striking in originality, but, of course, they are comfortable and beautiful. Almost all household appliances – hob, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher – are built-in. For modern kitchens, this is the optimal space-saving, functional and aesthetic option. The glazing of the balcony door from floor to ceiling improves the insolation of the room. The natural theme is supported by wicker chairs and accessories.

Piping hot

The main planning delight in this kitchen is the peninsula slab. The hob is placed outside the kitchen front and is combined with a small table where you can eat. Thus, the path of food from stove to plate is reduced to the utmost minimum. The rest of the built-in household appliances for cooking food (oven and microwave) are located nearby, in a tall cabinet. And just at such a level so as not to bend over and stand on tiptoe.

The whole room is designed in joyful yellow-terracotta shades with small turquoise splashes. This range creates a welcoming, friendly mood at any time of the day. The lighting system on the busbars is well thought out. The most illuminated are the cooking area and the food table. The position of the multi-sized luminaires can be adjusted.
