Three High Intensity Workouts to Sweat Up with the Pin Twins

High-intensity interval workouts (HIIT) have become popular in recent years for several reasons: They don’t take as long as a regular workout (some can last as little as 10 minutes), and research shows they improve fitness, lower blood pressure and help people better control their blood sugar levels, which can help lose weight and prevent diseases.

And Esther and Gema Pineda, better known as the Pin Twins, know a lot about this. Why? Because they know first-hand all the benefits that HIIT workouts bring us and that is why they include them in their fitness routine at least three times a week.

HIIT is characterized by alternating intervals of low and high intensity exercise. For example, it might include running at a gentle pace for a few minutes before increasing the effort to a high or even maximum level for a short period of time before returning to a gentle pace.

These are three of the workouts that the Pin Twins propose to burn calories and end up sweating:

In this session each exercise is repeated for 30 seconds and the complete circuit must be performed four times. They accompany you during the first series, so you have three laps to go. The rest time between each series is 10 seconds and we will not need material to be able to perform the fitness routine.

Among the exercises to be performed is skipping with vertical jump, plank with hands up, squat with lateral jumps, plank with leg opening and skier.

This time, the Pin Twins bring a routine of about 15 minutes. In total, there are three series of 15 repetitions of each exercise, with 15 seconds of rest between series and series. In this training material is not needed either because the exercises that are done are squats, push-ups with slaps on the floor, crossed military and burpees with jump.

The last of the Pin Twins HIIT routines includes five exercises that can be performed in about 15 minutes. Each exercise is done without rest with a duration of 45 seconds. Once the five exercises have been carried out, the entire series is repeated three times, with a 15-second rest between series. Here we will star with jump, plank with hand to feet, long jump and side jump, knees to the chest and skipping and heels to the gluteus in plank.
