The spotted penguin, dog parsley, pig louse, spotted parsley – these are the names of one plant that can be easily found in Polish meadows or along the road. Meeting her can be dangerous because she contains toxic compounds. How to avoid the danger?

Why is spotted parapet so dangerous?
The spotted monkey is one of the most poisonous plants in Poland (next to Sosnowski’s borscht and the venomous scallop). It includes i.a. horseine, cicutine, formic and butyric acid. The first is the most dangerous relationship.
Every part of the plant is a threat to humans – poisonous substances are found in flowers, leaves, stems and roots. Even the dried spotted lion is toxic, although in this form its effect is not that intense.

This plant is quite common in Poland, and it is easy to confuse it with edible ones – the root deceptively resembles parsnips, while the leaves imitate parsley.
Symptoms of poisoning with spotted wood
For poisoning with spotted callus, the plant or its juices must be ingested by accident. Just touching the stem or flowers is not dangerous, as long as we remember about hand hygiene.
In case of contact with the sap of spotted rat, symptoms may appear after 30 minutes (but it may take up to several hours).

Among the most common symptoms of blackbird poisoning, the following are distinguished:
- trembling
- burning sensation in the digestive tract
- increased saliva production
- dilated pupils
- muscle pain, weakness or paralysis
- a drop in the heart rate, then the heart rate increases
- loss of speech
- convulsion
- loss of consciousness or coma
With severe poisoning, even more serious body reactions, including death, are possible. Immediate consultation with a doctor is necessary in the event of any symptoms or suspicion of black rat poisoning.
Treatment of poisoning with spotted penguin
At the moment, there is no antidote to poisoning with spotted carp. The doctor can only react to specific symptoms – protect the airways in the event of breathing difficulties or administer anticonvulsants if they occur.
It is also advisable to detoxify the digestive tract, as well as to prevent dehydration of the body.
