Third trimester: 12 things that piss mom off

Many sudden changes await a pregnant woman at 30 weeks. And none of them will make her life easier.

There is nothing left until the meeting with the baby – 8-10 weeks. The baby is seriously preparing for the birth, and this requires a lot from the mother: after all, the future baby does not yet have his own resources, he does everything at the expense of the mother’s body. The second trimester, when everything usually goes smoothly, gives way to a time of constant discomfort. And this is what you need to be prepared for after 30 weeks.

1. Housework becomes an overwhelming task. Cleaning, cooking, and washing up requires an incredible amount of energy. The expectant mother now gets tired much faster than before, household chores literally suck her strength out of her. And if at the same time she continues to work, then nervous exhaustion will also be added to physical fatigue.

2. Heartburn and indigestion are no longer surprising. The child at this time has grown so much that there is very little space left for the internal organs of the mother. The enlarged uterus is dozens of times larger and presses on the stomach, causing acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion. Food relationships can go wrong again.

3. Sleep worsens. Again, because the baby is getting bigger. He literally takes up all the space, and his every movement is echoed in the mother’s body. Sometimes these movements can even be painful, wake up or make you stop to breathe. The only consolation – closer to the date of birth, the baby begins to move less.

4. Urticaria appears – unpleasant rashes. At this time, many are faced with increased sweating. The skin under the breast suffers the most: the bust grows, the stomach too, they rub against each other, and irritation begins. You can fight this, but there are still some inconveniences.

5. Milk starts to flow – at about the 32nd week, this may well already happen. The body is preparing with might and main to start breastfeeding, so such a “leak” is quite normal. Just do not deliberately express milk – because of this, premature birth can begin.

6. Weight is still growing – about a pound a week. And it seems as if all five are added. A sharp jump can really happen in about 32 weeks. But if before that there was no extreme set, then now there is nothing to worry about.

7. Fatigue and unhappiness – this is how you can describe the condition of almost every pregnant woman at the 32nd week. We can say for sure that a woman has never been so tired in her life until now, unless, of course, she has participated in marathons for tens of kilometers. It is very tempting to start constantly complaining about fatigue, a feeling of eternal unhappiness and nervous exhaustion. But it’s better to just lie down.

8. It gets harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning.… Sometimes because the head is spinning – due to night dehydration, general sluggishness, a change in the center of gravity of the body. Here doctors advise first to drink some water, then slowly and carefully get up: turn on your side, lower your legs out of bed, gradually sit down. Then take a breath and slowly get up.

9. Loss of appetite. If you thought that more food is needed as a child grows, you were wrong. On the contrary, the amount of food will decrease. First, there is simply no room for it. Secondly, it becomes difficult to digest heavy foods. Third, the feeling of fullness lasts longer.

10. Stretch marks, they are also striae. This nuisance can happen at a later date: you wake up, and your stomach overnight looks like a huge striped watermelon. This, of course, is not at all necessary, much depends on the genetic characteristics of the expectant mother. But preventing stretch marks is actually very difficult, as well as getting rid of them.

11. Do not lie on your back. First of all, because it is uncomfortable: it becomes difficult to breathe in this position. And not only for mom, but also for the baby. In this position, in the later stages, an important blood vessel that feeds the placenta is pinched. As a result, the child does not receive enough oxygen, fetal hypoxia may occur.

12. It’s terribly annoying to be pregnant. In the later stages, a woman experiences more discomfort than happiness from a future meeting with a child. It is inconvenient to do everything: sit, stand, lie, sleep. And I want it all to end quickly.
